This is what we had back in last September.

This is what we have now

Look at the Great Sword swing in the old gif, damn that was soo epic and he wasn't even using the Phantom Blades, i really hate the new one.

The footage is from October. *snark*

Also, the Armiger is not on for that part. You can tell because there aren't any Phantom Swords stabbing through that Niflheim knight.

You're right. Anyway, I used to defend holding button to attack, but after actually playing the demo, I think it should go, especially after playing Bloodborne afterwards and realizing how important it is to have a precise 1 button press = 1 slash/thrust attack animation. It just feels more right than rapidly mashing the button or holding to execute a series of attacks. Granted, they're different games, but what do you think.

Holy crap suddenly a jolt of excitment hit me.

All the negatvity we had to go through dampened it.

Can't believe we were hating on the guy who's actually delivering stuff.

Sigh GAF sigh

My goodness.. how much I want to play this thing... is there really no way to get a code for the demo outside buying type-0? I want to play this thing a lot

There are some info on changes to 2.0 here

You can now fight the Catoblepas! That’s the big monster in the lake. In version 2.0 one of them comes out of the lake onto land where you can fight it. Be careful though, it apparently takes 20 minutes to defeat with all four characters at level 99 and it can still knock you out in one hit.

I haven't played 2.0, but I'm going to assume that considering you can't swim, and thus the combat can't take place where Catoblepas is idle, when you aggro Cato, he WILL 1-shot you unless you get to an area on land, which Cato will move to, and then you fight him there. Objective basically handholds you into not getting 1shot.

That's my hypothesis anyway. We'll see how good a(n armchair) game designer I am in an hour :V

Is this demo still restricted to Type-0 buyers? I'd readily pay $5-10 to play Duscae, but I'm not dropping a full $60+ on another game I don't want.

Is 99lvl the cap? I mean i know it's just a demo and all, but it's funny to think that some sort of big dinosaur may be more powerful than whatever cosmic villain is going to be in the end-game.
They probably made him OP for the demo since it is easy to level up in the demo.

It's going to always be restricted to those who bought the demo, they're kinda bound to that wording now (due to some laws in certain regions, they cant go back on it)
Still cant update the demo on the ps4 (usa) :/ Maybe I should sell my 2 xbone demos on the sell thread, last time i tried nobody wanted them.

What's the easiest way to level up in the demo? I made it to like 45 or 50. I'd like to try fighting new big enemy, but leveling up to 99 doesn't sound very fun. I wonder if there would be that big of a difference between lvl50 and 99 while fighting it anyway.

The Level system in the demo does not represent the Level system of the final game.

Levels, experience points, and stats were customized specifically for the demo.
