Final Fantasy XV first 45 minute gameplay video (final build of the game)

If this looks so good on PS4, I can't imagine how it will look on PRO. I will play this on PS4 PRO, for sure ;)

I'm assuming it's related to the "Plague of Stars" since they only come out at night. So probably summoned from some sort of dark world/night dimension or something like you said. Or they're pulling a FFVIII and they are coming from the moon.

As a protagonist, I mean.

Because the lack of maturity and all are very much by design, this being a coming of age story. The game starts right away, the moment you hit New Game, by showing you the character in this picture. This is how the protagonist looks torwards the end of the journey. My biggest hope is that that older design that you get to play him as isn't some sort of faster aging or "he aged while in stasis" kind of thing since the biggest reason I want to play as more older protagonists isn't because of looks but because of personality/how they act. Playing as someone who has actually experienced more of life instead of someone who needs to have a coming of age story or grow up and become more mature.

But I do also have a massive love for progression in stories so I will also be fine if they can show that, moving from immature to a complete person/adult. It is hard to find that in video games though as your normally stuck as the character you start the game with until maybe the ending where they decide to give a payoff instead of it happening in game with you still playing after the change has been made.

PS: Anyone have any info on the new ascension grid? Trying hard not to watch anything else till launch but I'm really interested in that.

It borrows a lot of design elements from FFVIII and FFX yeah (and story elements from FFX too). Hollie from PlayStation Access said she felt FFXV felt close to FFX for her.
 
Why does it always seem like a supporting character is always the "hawt one". Why cant the main character the hawt one for once. Noctis is so un-hawt.

Balthier-kun/fran-chan in ff12
Lulu-chan/auron-kun in ff10
...and so on... and so on... Tifa... You get the picture.

...now, youre probably wondering why I skipped ff13 - I didnt. She is horrible to look at and aint got no body. Snow and fang were the hot ones there.

Gives me the feelings of the old FF games... I have no idea how they managed to capture it.

I'm going to stop my life for weeks for this game and will have one of the best time ever.

Also so happy they delayed it because it will be so much more atmospheric to play this game in winter :)

I know what you mean! The are these elevated circular lounge seating areas in the Quay, and it's just such a gorgeous little bit of architecture that really added to the uniqueness of the area. Then seeing the Quay - especially the dining area - all lit up at night time...

I'm ogling lounges, thanks for that, Tabata.

Can someone give me an example of another game that was shown extensively and then suddenly had a dramatic increase in visuals like FFXV for its last round of major press in the last couple months of development?

It's kind of an awesome marketing technique, even if it was probably accidental. There won't be a graphics backlash, at the very least. That's a problem most Fall releases have (Ass Creed)

Could be, I have zero interest in women, so my judgment is probably clouded by the fact that I like Luna's personality more [happens to me on other occasions as well]. Won't give up on Noct, though, he's is goddamn adorable with his naps and sh*t!

The amount of animations and dynamic interaction is just insane. Never seen anything like this. Definitely the new gold standard.

You have NO idea how much that image pisses me off. Why the fuck is everything 20 sizes too big?!

Nothing about this fucking thing works! Its not sexy because everything gives off an uncanny vally look; its not thematically consistant (just look at those.... boots?... uggs?); Why is the screwdriver so FUCKING LONG?!; Its not even good as a Halloween costume or theme party costume. It honestly makes me think that the designer thought "lets take the female skier look and just replicated using the stuff at our construction site" while not having enough materials and still managed to fail horribly.

Its a mess, total mess. I want to meet the man who made this and kick him in the balls.

At least with Cindy's outfit the colours, theming, and proportions are consistent.

game reminds me of FF1, of all things. where you could wander off into a cave or some area and get completely rekt.
