Still GOTY for me so far (played it this year for the first time). Absolutely loved it. The first WRPG I beat and the first time I bought story DLCs in my life because I wanted more months later. Besides, I honestly liked the combat^^ It had its own kinda "rhythm" and when you got it it flowed well, imo.

I found the combat on foot to be quite decently responsive. Regular movement and specifically mounted battles were janky, though.

O it's a damn good game don't get me wrong. I love to play it but I hate to play it if that makes any kind of sense

This game is a winner. And all of those other games delaying themselves into oblivion (next year) was a good move. XV is so fly, and come Nov 29th, we are gonna see so many people eat crow. I'm not even an FF fan like that, but this is gonna be unreal when it finally comes out.

The animations have so much personality. They are so fun to look at.

I just hope there are enough of them so that it doesn't get boring after awhile.

Sorry :> Couldn't resist sharing my excitement with the FF newcomers in here who want to jump aboard with FFXV. Unfortunately there's no one place or single trailer you could point them to to see all the different aspects the game offers, like exploration, vehicles, summons, combat, cities etc. Everything spread over millions of trailers/footage/streams/tech videos.

I mean... what if they don't want to be spoiled? Surely they can look for these things on their own if they want to see all there is to see.

I get many happy "whoa, never saw this, so cool!" responses to my GIF posts from people who, for example, until recently still not even knew there were summons or huge cities or a flying car etc. in the game and seeing them sold them on it. So I always saw it as a good way to make people aware of the scale and variety of the game, which many might not realize because there is so much drip-fed marketing for this game with hundreds of scattered videos.

You love to convince people of FFXIV all the time, too, so I think you can understand my enthusiasm :P But okay, I won't go overboard anymore if you say so. Sorry! I probably crashed the browsers of some here on phones/tablets if they haven't turned off GIFs on GAF on mobile, haha.

The only visuals in FFXV that still bother me are those Zu feathers. Hopefully they can clean that up a bit. It kind of takes away from the majesty they are going for when some of they feathers look 1 pixel flat and are jerking around.

I'm not going around posting gifs of stuff that's far into the game though. If you want to post a bunch of stuff, at least link the gifs please.
 
Man, I'm torn. Luna has much better voice direction in the English track, but I absolutely cannot stand Ignis's voice in English.

Btw, i love the improved line delivery speed, it was seriously seriously pissing me off, so much i was considering switching to japanese on my first run, and that's something i never do.

The line delivery was super slow so glad they speed it up sounds great now

I like Ardyn's theme, i feel he's going to be the best character, but seriously where is that hat! Please bring it back.

I mean the movie has that low a RT score for very valid reasons, it really fails as a film dude. Even if you like it, it's still bad, it's ok to like bad films. But don't try to make them seem like they're good when they fail at filmmaking and this is the third time they've made a bad FF film that made no profit. So we're left with three films that are pretty for the time, but will age poorly due to looking realistic. Already the facial animation in this film is subpar in the majority of scenes not to mention some of the worst ADR i've ever seen and there are a good scenes where the mocap looks janky and shaky and needed a few more passes. And this is performance capture, Disney uses keyframing on both stylized characters and more naturalistic characters and go circles around the tech seen in Kingsglaive.

It's a good thing we have a LONG history of narrative cinema and 100s of notable examples of good animated films from various countries, Kingsglaive, for many of the reasons stated above, is definitely not one of them, ESPECIALLY if you're not on the hype train for this game.
