Final Fantasy XV first 45 minute gameplay video (final build of the game)

Any links to the legit OST on YT? I've seen "extended" tracks and such and have read mention of alternate versions in this thread or another but I'd like to hear some of songs that accurately represent what I'd be hearing come launch and not decade old versions or extended versions.

What I've sampled sounded amazing.

Gonna be a nice slow weekend with nothing to d-

Reviewers will have probably grown tired of the first half of this game by the time they get to play through the entire thing.

Yep, especially the Game Informer guys. They played the game back in April, and then the E3 black room, and then Gamescom, and then TGS, and a thousand other events including Paris Game Week, and then the preview copy, finally the review copy.

I guess i am the minirity here by thinking that they shouldnt show anything else really. By now people are either convinced or not.

I especially think they have revealed a shit ton of locations for this game that they really shouldnt have.

I know the "spoiler trend" these days is to movk oversensitive people, so go ahead and mock me, i firmly believe that gorgeous Environment video was spoilery as hell. They pretty much showcased the most extravagant locales in a 4 min video.

Glad i only watched it once and cannot remember a lot of stuff.

The OST isn't out yet (and oddly has no release date) so all you're going to get for now are tracks ripped from the various demos.

Well I knew that. I just wanted to be pointed towards songs that represent the current build and not something that might be from a VS XIII build that may not be representative of the final version of the track/game.

Yoko Shimomura seems like a pretty cool person but I wonder if she's a bit annoyed that music she has written for a decade has basically been "held hostage" by Square Enix for all that time. I hope we get a flood of arrangement albums, live concerts, etc. after the game finally releases.

I'm sure there's also music she composed for Versus which didn't make it into the game too :/ She already confirmed on Twitter that she's recording a piano arrangement album for FFXV.

Been testing some stuff in Platinum Demo. They need to quicken the response time when you switch to a different weapon and use it. For example, when you have the Broadsword selected, and then quickly change to Shield and block, it takes a longer time for Noctis to get in to a defensive pose than if the Shield weapon was already selected and you pressed block. There is a somewhat longer animation that gets in the way when you're switching from a different weapon. They need to get rid of that extra animation and make the response time the same.

I know it's a small thing, but I hope they've addressed this in the main game. Stuff like this is important for precise play and the general combat feeling responsive.

I had an interview with her a couple months after the initial announcement of Versus and my impression of her was that she was very business oriented.

Almost all the questions I asked about her creative process got answers that were prefaced with things like "it's what Nomura called for" or when asking about her hopes for future titles "if that's what the director asks for". For all I know she may have different views now that we're on the other side of 10 years, but it seemed at the time that while she does have a lot of creative passion, she is also very pragmatic about the realities of development.

I also have a feeling that up until Tabata took over, she mostly was just doing one off songs for marketing purposes. It's not uncommon for music to be some of the last assets to come together in game development. So apart from Somnus there may not be that much that's been held back.

Stories about work on the music side for versus/FFXV would be enough to fill a couple of books, really.

The credits list for musicians, recording studios, orchestrators, engineers, production assistants, arrangers, etc across the span of 10 years is hilariously huge. e.g. the choir from the original Omnis Lacrima recording is still in the game.

I don't think any of the other 'lol is this game ever coming out' legends out of the game industry (DNF, TLG, etc) have come from a franchise where the music is so much put on a holy pedestal as FF, but maybe I'm biased.

You can biased and still be right
Ff has the one of the most(if not THE most) iconic soundtracks in the industry.

Just 6 more weeks until the long wait is over. Just 6 more weeks.... Hurry up!!!

I still can't believe it's releasing very close to Last Guardian.

Again the games were announced before 2010 and 3 PS consoles were bought for them and now they are releasing in a span of a week.

And Ni-Oh shortly after. It's like a rift in time was torn and now history is pouring through all at once.

We got a good 70 days between this and Nioh. Should be fine.

As for TLG, it can wait for me. For December, my gaming time is only going towards FFXV. Gonna take my time with this one and enjoy the shit out of it.

Yeah I just meant in terms of all these dev hell games coming out at once. Once they're out I can play them whenever I want, so that doesn't matter. Put em all out on the same day for all I care.

I'm just happy that even if some don't like the game, at least they can love the music. It will be like Sonic 06 in a way except not nearly that bad.

Have we been shown all the possible summons in the game or at there still more in hiding?

That just reminded me of another post :D

Final Fantasy XV's greatest weakpoint, is the fact that it has the weakest soundtrack in FF history. That shit sounds like circa 1998 Sonic on the Sega Dreamcast

They were serious, btw. They followed it up, IIRC.

Same here. TLG can wait till next year.

I'm going to be experiencing all the content the game has to offer. I'll probably clock in at least 150 hours for my first playthrough.

TLG seems like an amazing chrismas game, though. Shouldn't be long, either. I can pause my playthrough for a day to fit that in.

Okay that can't be serious. Hyperbole or not it just can't be true.

Speaking of which, I wonder when SE will start charging the UCE preorders? I heard that it was weeks in advance.

There's a lot of symbolism in there but we won't know until the game comes out alas. It is such a magnificent work of art.

It looks to me like all the creatures are coming out of the insomnia building, like a major incident happened there.
