Characters move around like mannequins, awkward cinematography, awkward transitions between chapters. and some really and I mean REALLY subpar facial animation. It most definitely looks like a studio's first attempt at a big project like this.

I base my expectations of a game on what I'm given and what I've seen... I've seen a lot and it leaves me little to be excited for. And I haven't made up my mind about anything except it was a bad idea to utilize Luna the way they did.

Compared to what you'd expect from a game this expensive, how? I especially don't know how you can disagree on facial animation as from an animator's perspective, there's so many things wrong with it, (it's not like keyframing is an inherent problem either as AK is almost entirely keyframed yet works in so many scenes). The camera moves as well don't exactly work in the majority of scenes, like Chapter 3 starts with a EC of a random spot on the back of the car, (when typically something like the license plate of the car would be much better for that type of shot), then there's the awkward low budget half cutscenes. It's just not very well done in that regard.
 
Does anyone have that .gif of Iris having one of those anime girl seizures where she makes a dozen different "cutsey" poses while standing in one spot?

I need a laugh.

I am sad that other than Arenea, there doesn't look to be any more job-based Generals. Thought that knightly guy that was in the Mech was going to be one too but doesn't look to be attached to any FF job class. That was one thing I would have still liked to see.
 
Looks like this game isn't the type to watch others play. I caught the stream when they started going on the Behemoth hunt, tracked it, followed it to it's lair and boom, I feel asleep. During the fight I kept waking up and falling back to sleep, it seemed like he was struggling, warping on walls, and I thought he would just give up. When it was over and I noticed the stream had no low resolution option I just quit it. Now I'm wide awake. :(

I hope someone put that on youtube soon.

Kinda makes me want the next one to be a more traditional FF world, but offline(in before some FFXIV fan or Kagari unleash a stream of praise for everything that is FFXIV).

You're kidding, right? Have you seen the ads, TVCMs, exclusive interviews, ATRs and magazine coverages (famitsu especially) before the game was released? If those were not spoilery....I don't know what is......
 
I'm currently watching a stream via my ps3 (it said "live now" and it's in spanish) and they're fighting that 4-winged Bird and the camera and animations are borked. Loving the outfits though. I wonder where this is in the game.
Edit: I don't even know is this is even the final game...
 
I hope the final boss will be as epic as Kefka with many crazy final forms and an orchestral symphonic final boss theme that can compete with Dancing Mad and One Winged Angel.

He definitely beat the game. There is a 16th Chapter after the ending when you can fight against several superboss. Outfits are given after completing the game. What sucked in that battle was that if you are pushed away by the bird he has full health again. The guy was underleveled to fight that boss,this is why it lasted so long. Camera was definitely awful.

I think he rushed to beat the game. He beat it in a little over 30 hours.

Interesting; I didn't know there was a 16th Chapter.

Is there by any chance an image/video featuring this said new logo?
