Final Fantasy XV SPOILER THREAD

Like I said he was streaming earlier today, after finishing the game for two hours and his clock was at 31.

Less than 30 hours long.
Final boss is a dude in the street
Luna is in the game about 10 mins
10 years dev time

We all got Tabata'd?

Game is garbage. R.I.P. Final Fantasy, you were once an icon. At least we'll always have VI, VII, VIII and X.

Now I'm glad XV isn't coming to the Switch.

Sadly I can't watch with sound on in the office.
I'd appreciate if someone summarise the ending if he did replay the whole final battle without skipping the cutscene

But judging from Tabata's 'hope ending makes you cry' speech, the age difference between Noctis and Luna in that scene and the leak which was right about everything except final battle I'm still on #TeamGhostLuna

The logo looks so dumb. There is noo waay I buy that this was planned 10 years ago. lmao.

Of course it wasn't. Tabata and co probably changed more things design wise, story wise in the last 2 and a half years of development than anything done to the game in the past 10 years.

They essentially had to throw everything out, basically keep like 25% of the most recognizable elements, redo the story entirely and streamline what they kept for as broad an audience as possible.

It was an impossible task to not come out atleast somewhat messy, but i think the actual audience reaction will be much less negative with people actually having the game in their hands going through it

Besides Unlimited Blade Bahamut, I have no idea what the fuck is even happening in this boss battle right now.

Like, it's just Ifrit swinging at thin air, the camera zoomed out as far as possible, and Noctis just zipping anywhere and everywhere.

I am not watching anymore but I suspect the Epilogue and new game plus may clear some things up. Still, the final boss seemed too easy; although he hit hard.

Not a FF connoisseur, but I thought the fade from the characters on the throne to the logo at the end was cool as fuck. Is that something that happens every game?

I don't know how you arrive to the conclusion that the game is garbage based on the ending dungeon/boss/cutscenes. lol

Does the game overall feel like a patched up corpse from the streams I watched? yeah absolutely, that's what we figured out already after development hell but seems like overall the game is better than your average AAA package release and seems like there is tons of content to see, it seems fun. I'd be surprised if it's not a 8-9/10 game from the usual suspects. How fandom likes it I have no idea. The combat is kind of messy still.

XIII didn't fade into it necessarily, but the big plot point of the end of the game was exactly what the logo was. I can't think of any that did it this way though.

I really like this idea of the logo being revealed at the end. Especially since it was in front of us the whole time.

Honestly I have no context for that final throne scene so it might be stupid, but that gave me chills.
