There is one near the end when Noctis kills himself. He sits on the throne as the previous kings are all absorbed into the ring

. Wow they really did kill off everyone. How did he die? I was secretly hoping that he wouldn't have.
When Noctis went into timesleep, Ardyn was free to do as he pleased. He essentially killed everyone left in Insomnia after the invasion, including Ravus. When you go back there, Ravus's corpse gets reanimated and turned into a monster you have to kill
Noctis sees them all off pretty definitively, they all say goodbye to each other and are left in the middle of the square while Noctis goes on ahead. From what i saw of the ending, its implied that they are killed by Ravus's minions while trying to buy time for Noctis to absorb the power of the kings into the ring.
We have not seen that one in the game so i am assuming no.

There are still cutscenes in there, bits of Kingsglaive as flashbacks and the Omen trailer as nightmares.

There are 2 major cities, many more small towns/outposts/etc.
And it's not 3 spells...it's 3 elements that can be crafted into various different types of spells. And there is also Ring Magic which has death and some other spells that we are still trying to figure out.
Ramuh, Titan, Leviathan, & Shiva are all summonable. Bahamut seems to be only used at the end. Ifrit is part of the final battle segment.

Interpretation. They just stand outside when Noctis goes for the final fight and the camera pans to some Iron Giants spawning.
Wasn't clear to me when watching a stream that they actually died.

It's fire, ice and lightning that gets mixed into fire, ice and lighting at different intensities. What about buffs and debuffs or poison, reflect, etc.? Ring magic is the death spell and 2 other spells (idk what they are).
As for the towns, outposts and settlements don't interest me as much as the hope of getting to explore Tenebrae, Insomnia and Niflheim.

Right but you can add items to those spell recipes to create, for example, an ice spell that inflicts poison or a lightning spell that causes stop.

I'm sad now. Wow. Does he turn into a good guy somewhere down the line? Is there another sad scene after the battle like there was with luna?

You might only get to explore one of those cities, Nifleheim. Tenebrae is supposedly just a pretty backround and not an actually rendered city, and Insomnia is obviously blocked off by plot reasons
According to Sora, he antagonized Noctis and co in his first appearance in game, and then when he's shown again, he's a 'reformed' guy who still dislikes Noctis but considers the greater good of helping Luna.
The next time you see him, he's a corpse. I don't know what happens after the battle

Man the amount of money wasted on unused CGI with this game is pretty ridiculous.
Even more so since they look a lot better than the ones that made it into the game from what i've seen so far.

kh story is nonsensical becuase they want to play the side game to understand the lore of it which is why all the game will be on ps4 now and nomura didnt made the world end with you

Highly doubtful since that used old Regis' design but could be wrong.

I am sure there are plenty of CG scenes that we never got to see. Nomura said they made this meeting between Noctis and Stella in CG movie but we never even got to see glimpse of it.

This raises a question: ultimate weapons. Sounds le they exist. Can you extrapolate? Does every character have one, or just several for Noctis?
Well Tabata scrapped the party scene and Stella to begin with, so it would be hard to have it in the game...in the first place but still, it is a shame. It was one of the most iconic parts of Versus i was looking forward to
yea I know it wouldn't have made scene. But damn I would have loved to see that scene in Visual Work's CG...
I really hope they release that asset in the internet later... but I know it won't ever happen.

Man, the dumbing down of the lore is getting to me. The summons, the big bang artwork, the Omen trailer, cosmogony book art etc. all rendered insignificant for the most part.
I was hooked on fan theories and those FF peasant videos. I even hoped Noctis/his bloodline was connected to Diabolos, the summon that actually made me a FF fan.
Oh well. Still mildly excited.

It bothers me that every FFXV thread is shit up by this dumb NeoGAF circlejerk, yes.
Versus never existed, there is no game, they managed less with twice the length of development of FFXV. It's the exemplar of "the game existing in your head better than the one here and now." It's been ten years, shut the fuck up about it already!
I don't think it's much to ask to want to talk about FFXV in the FFXV thread, make your own thread if you want to Versusjerk.
Unfortunately the mods will never stop it because they're some of the biggest offenders.
Many changes made from Versus to XV were for the worse, at least in concept

I'd be on your side here, but they did announce FFXV by including so many things from Versus, mainly the entire opening invasion which had everybody salivating, and the final game seems more and more like a shadow of even that premier.
People have every right to be whimsical for the game we never got, because Square themselves seem to have delivered a game that is falling short of some people's expectations.
I can't tell you how annoyed i'd be if I didn't follow this game's progress and had ignored it up until release, eager to play that amazing opening only to push a broken down car and engage in tedious tutorials.
I'm talking in terms of characters, designs and scenario in general. But I'll drop it here I don't want to derail this any further.
Rubber Johnny, i think its better that you stop now if your going to make false assumptions and sweeping generalizations about the people here, and the mods. If you don't like what's brought up, that's fine. But your getting close to being insulting.

You can't just pretend Versus never existed or ban it from discussion. In the reveal trailer for FFXV the logo literally morphed out of the Versus logo. If that bothers you I would blame Square Enix not the people who wish to discuss the games development in a thread about the game. If there 'was no design' then all Versus stuff is just pre-production FFXV stuff anyway making it an even more appropriate topic for discussion
