You do this all the time, brushing all critique away...
People state, the accordion music playing in Altissia is generic and repetitive (which it is!) and you say it's not. People state Altissia is tiny, compared to what the developers promised us, and you say it would have been too big, if it actually lived up to everyone's expectations.
Seriously, it would be too big for you? Have you been in other game cities, like at all? They must have completely overwhelmed and scared you with their in comparison enormousness...

Get over yourself. I made it clear that according to my tastes, it was big enough. Please read my post properly before doing that.

Lol what is this? While I was playing the game my brother even commeted on how he liked the music in Altissia and I like it too. If you personally dislike it that's fine, but your opinion is not fact.

Yea they could have done so much with Altissia but it was a waste.
 
As opposed to getting to explore more of Altissia, we get 500 copied and pasted gas stations. Yey

I liked Lestallum, but when it's pretty much the only town in the game... meh. Not impressive visually, either


Tbh I didn't find the game visually impressive at all aside from Altissia (minus the Leviathan fight) and Insomnia. Way too unpolished for me to consider it a great-looking game. Plus it's kind of artistically dull.

The very sad thing is...I would even pay for all of that.
If I knew they are going to make Altissia bigger/less restricted or let us explore Angelgard, I would be kinda relieved and even be willing to pay for that. How sad is this? :(

I have to do that with all town or outpost music after 2 minutes. I think it is that grating.
 
Lestallum is so terrible that they should have put the Destiny Island song from Kingdom Hearts and would be an improvement.

Also those harmonica songs... No, stop.

On the other hand I am kind of obsessed with Sunset Waltz.

By sealed dungeon they mean the chamber Noctis awoke in after 10 years?

It looks more like something they made especially for the cutscene of Noctis' awakening. I don't think we were ever supposed to explore this or that we will be able to go there in the future...

All of these out of bounds glitches are exciting though, I wonder if anyone already managed to go out of bounds and explore the World of Ruin? I tried a bit at Hammerhead and managed to get quite high up with warp-strike (you can warp when you hug the walls) and my Pitioss Ruins platforming skills, but the invisible walls go up higher than twice the height of the fence :/

It wasn't 3 hours but it took me a long time as well, and you really have to make sure you are targeting the horn and nothing else.

like i said though, fuck that drop rate.

Altissa absolutely made no sense from a design standpoint. Shops scattered throughout in random locations just to eat up your time in the tiny space to give the illusion of scale. The city was such a disappointment, especially since Cid specifically mentions bringing the Regalia along for the ride. No joke, my first thought was "Wow, I get to drive this throughout a brand new environment!". And when I saw the map, I got even more excited. But once the illusion came crashing down, and the explorable space was revealed to be a tiny fraction of what the map showed, I was bitterly disappointed. Especially since the story demanded that you be in Altissa for twenty to thirty minutes before heading to the next location in the story. Gave me bad Final Fantasy XIII vibes with how throwaway and brief a lot of the locations were in that game.

It's a combination of issues really, the camera was pretty poor on that hunt because of all the trees about so even trying to target the horn is a bit of a pain. Then when you finally manage to get yourself hardlocked on using R3, it sometimes drops the lock on for whatever reason (went too far away I guess?).

Combine those issues with the poor droprate and it just becomes really tedious.

I also found that sometimes when I did a warp strike, it would damage other parts of the body despite being hardlocked on to the horn. Which in turn meant I occasionally killed them without even managing to break the horn.

I won the RNG lottery for that one. Did one hunt in Chapter 3 and got it instantly by breaking the horn. And I was fully prepared to waste three hours on it.
 
anyone else manage to get their way to the top of the crag near the cauthess pit stop? Had to use a chocobo and do some awkward jumps with it but it worked! Trying to climb the rocky horizon outlines now lol

It's not terribly hard to get on top of the crag...go behind the crag and to the side then run alond the edge as it goes up and jump with chocobo to the next ledge then jump up. There will be an invisible wall for around 10 steps upwards then it gives way and you can go more central so you aren't on the edge of the crag so much.

Should do a 360 view video

Jumping of of it was fun.

Cool you found a way to climb it. I'll be trying it too. ;) I love getting to higher ground and overlooking everything,
 
Airwalk makes battles a ton more enjoyable


Damn pitioss is really fucking long btw, it just keeps going on and on


Thought i'd be done after an hour or two, had to put my ps4 to sleep, just got past the angel statue section
 
Luna getting abused as a kid in the Dawn trailer wasn't even in the game.

Iedloas was truly robbed. He was the poster guy for Nifhelm Empire and he got robbed.

Not enough outfits in the game but attaching stats to outfits is kinda... well...... I can tell the developers wanted you to use the default outfits (which so many people though were trash) so badly. Those default outfits still have better stats (HP wise) than the Kingslaive stuff. I still had Noctis wearing the Regis suit DLC almost the entire game. Lol

No option to let you choose whose in your party is a mistake.... at least let us have that in endgame. I would be much eager to play the postgame if I could have Iris and Aranea there. Heck, even Cor.

No-one cares for Talcott and Jared. Still bizarre we see a timeskip Talcott before a timeskip Iris.

Yup deffo do it!! You'll know what I meant when you see that ledge towards the side of the crag!!! (the side away from the cauthess pit stop). Hope you succeed in climbing it!! So much fun mucking around with stuff like this in the game!
