Still not sure about the gameplay. The graphics are fantastic, but the only Guerilla game I liked, regarding gameplay, was KZ2. Let's see how it turns out.

She didn't say she didn't like it. She said they don't hold her attention for long. I'm the same way. I absolutely love games like that and I never finish them

Me too. My wife has sunk at least 600 hours into Oblivion, Skyrim, Dragon Age, Fallout 3/New Vegas each, and I haven't beaten them once. Well, I beat Fallout 3, but haven't beaten New Vegas.

I actually forced myself to beat The Witcher 3, and not because I didn't love it, but because I just didn't have the time to sink my teeth into it before other titles I was more interested in released. I absolutely love RPGs just like The Witcher and Fallout, but I don't often get to finish them.

I'm slowly working my way through Hearts of Stone, then I'll get to Blood and Wine, but between job hunting, drawing issue 6 of my Comic, and spending time with my wife (although we try to combine some game time and quality time when we can; we've been live streaming out Minecrwft adventures every once in a while for example) it's fucking hard.

Not everyone has the luxury to get through a dozen games a year. For some of us, just one is a damn achievement! XD

It should be obvious, but far out embargoes mean they're confident in the game, which is a good thing.

Based on early impressions, I can't really see it getting less than an 85 metacritic score.

I spent most of the wait for this game time not hyped, but it's looking really good as of right now.

90+ would be hard because it would require the bigger sites to all give 9's which is not as likely to happen since games rarely get those scores as it is. As somebody above said, 85ish where it'll probably fall. Like if that videogamer review would've had a score, it would've been in the 7.5-8 ish range going by the language. Where as that first review would've been a 9+. So they'd balance each other out

And then you have sites that use a 5 star scale. Which also would affect things because it would probably get a lot of 4's

Eurogamer hasn't had a review leak. I believe you meant Videogamer.

This was my prediction that I made early this year for the Q1 (except P5) games I'm curious about this year. So yeah...

86.

Having played it, i think that most sites will be happy to give it a 9 - since it does some things so good/much better than other games of its genre.

I have a few criticisms about the game already, but I think that so far, as a sum of its parts, it works wonderfully.

How far are you into the game?

Damn you have been pretty close so far on your predictions, though I can't believe that Nier would get as high as 89 with how niche the game is and how most sites will probably put someone that doesn't "get it" to review it.

This game will definitely get an average of around 85-88. I don't see it getting anything lower. Not with the amount of praise it is also getting on this forum by people who already have it.

I just finished Dishonored 2 and was interested in picking this up or Zelda: BoTW the glowing reviews lead me in the Horizon direction, but also expecting Zelda to be similarly Stellar.

We doing predictions now?

I'm thinking Horizon will get in the upper 80s (87-89, maybe 90), impressions seem very positive but not overwhelmingly so as they for for Ni-Oh a few weeks back.

Of course for balance to be achieved in the force it has to get the exact same MC score as Zelda so lets see.

I expect it to fall somewhere in the 85-90 range (lets guess at 89) because it looks outstanding and it's been getting a lot of positive impressions and previews. I think Guerrilla have knocked it out the park with this game. :)

Okay , yup probably he likes the Full Package.

OBSESSED... with what? Tearing down the game apart :p

Jones is a video editing nut. I believe his obsessed with the quality of this video review

which does probably mean he wants to do justice on the game itself
