This looks like

😰

No it doesn't. This trash will end after 13 episodes.

Even excluding the hair, the costume looks like shit.
The hair wont save shit.
I know. That's exactly what I said lol.

Have you got a source? I believe you, I just want to read something that'll assure me.
It's in the interview:
How difficult is it to bring Medusa's hair to life on film?
It is very difficult. Even now, it's still a process. It takes quite a long time in post to make that effect work. We have some of the best visual effects people available working on our show. We still haven't seen the final version of it; it's very much a work in process.
I'm guessing the hair in the promo pic is Photoshopped in.

One of those is supposed to be Gorgon? None of them look like him, I thought that was Cloak for a second(which made me think the other girl was Dagger).

To be honest, Karnak is better looking one from that group.

Fuck does that mean?

It means they manage to add diversity (which I'm grateful for) by using racial stereotypes. I'm all for diversity, but of course the strong angry dude is black, and of course the mysterious wise dude is asian. I bet making Gorgon asian and Karnak black never crossed their mind.

Oh...well, yeah.

I bought this up in another thread and the comics people came by to tell me that Karnak was less kung-fu ripoff than I remember, so it might not be as bad as it looks (well, it definitely doesn't have to be as bad as it looks, if they're good characters they're good characters.)

Honestly of all the dumb little things to focus on though... I kinda' wish they'd kept the mustache.

True, it's just that was the second thing that came to my mind (after the Medusa shock). I was like "Hey, diversity, cool! Wait a minute..."

Haha, I'm imagining how much worse this is gonna look blown up on an IMAX screen. They should have at the very least splurged on the costumes.

You guys know I'm super easy on comic book shows and movies.

Black Bolt and Medusa look terrible. It's like "What if The Inhumans Royal Family were the Addams Family?"

As someone who doesn't know much about the Inhumans Royal Family, it's not such a bad pitch.

It at least gives them a collective personality and concept for an audience unfamiliar with them to get behind. From what I know about them, I doubt they could really stretch that idea very far before it breaks, but the idea of them being an odd, off-kilter family with strange creatures totally fits.

In fact, now that I think of it, could that not be intentional to some degree? The Addams Family and The Munsters were shows that started and gained popularity not long before The Inhumans were created, doesn't it seem probable that Jack Kirby and Stan Lee were influenced by creating their own take on that?

Low budget TV Lockjaw.

Goddamn, its going to hurt my heart if I see him and my first thought is "put him down. "

lmao

I said "oh no" out loud. Comic-con cosplayers do better than this. EW is notorious for this kind of shit tho aren't they?

The costumes don't look all that great, but I wouldn't take an Entertainment Weekly photo shoots as evidence of how it ends up looking in the finished product.

Besides, I'd rather they use the budget on VFX, so as long as they nail that aspect and make it look more like a film than TV, I'm on-board.
