Fortunately, neither take shit roles.

Greatness Gone said:So how is Matthew Fox in this movie? Is he just playing Jack like in every other role?
:lolduckroll said:Yes. Conflicted look in his eyes while in a suit and holding a drink at a party, then away from the camera and goes "If I regret it, then it's just something I have to live with." while trying to avoid eye contact with anyone. He's typecast for life, nothing can save him.
QVT said:Fucking awesome! I was hoping the empty theatre i saw it in meant something and it did!
Triumph - As a film it's absolute garbage. If you took out all the dialogue, every time you see a character outside of a racecar, and killed the monkey, there might be a half hour of a well scored(if generic) action movie.
For starters he plays Charlie in every other role. Secondly, watch smokin aces if you think this is a bad thingGreatness Gone said:So how is Matthew Fox in this movie? Is he just playing Jack like in every other role?
VAIL said:Wow, what a sad and bitter person you seem to be.
It's a movie for a certain section of the populace, and it's a perfect fan service as well, hoping movies tank is just childish.

Ouch.FoneBone said:Official Friday estimates are in, and it did even worse than expected. #3, behind What Happens in Vegas.
Between the love-it-or-hate-it, hyper-stylized, aggressively artificial visuals, and the fact that it's a family film based on a cartoon no kid has ever seen... well, the damage was done. Don't blame the critics.

QVT said:Bitter? not really. Pissed that I wasted money on this piece of shit film and then people are going to be fooled by a bunch of guys going "omg so gud"

Watching shitty childrens movies is childish.
Nice betrayal there Lak :lol
VAIL said:To each their own I suppose, but hoping it tanks...just kinda shitty IMHO. There has never been a movie with this style, and from the looks of it, there will never be one again. I guess creative vision gets destroyed by the comic book movie of the year and some shitty date movie...
WickedAngel said:This was supposed to be a movie, not a tech demo.
QVT said:Ektor, you seem to be confused. This movie is absolute crap. The dialogue is terrible, the acting is terrible(goodman aside), the plot is stupid, his brother is an absolute dick, and there is that fucking kid and monkey.
I didn't go because of GAF recommendation I went because of the colours. I've learned now.
So you guys wouldn't be happy if a movie you didn't like didn't do well? Why not?

*Unless it's something like Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.omg rite said:Being entertained by a movie bombing is pretty retarded.*
duckroll said:You would think they learned a thing or two from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within right?
VAIL said:It's called Speed Racer, which was a show that had a little kid and monkey, god fucking awful dialog and a goofball story. It's exactly what it's supposed to be.
Oh, come on, we can go broader than that. Like, say, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, or the latest shitty horror remake, or anything by Uwe Boll.Dan said:*Unless it's something like Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed.
:lol :lol :lol oh my god it's not even going to make 15 million this weekendFoneBone said:Official Friday estimates are in, and it did even worse than expected. #3, behind What Happens in Vegas.

No, family movies usually get a boost on Saturdays. It should be able to clear 15 million... but at best, it'll barely pass 20.Cheebs said::lol :lol :lol oh my god it's not even going to make 15 million this weekend

Someone at the boxoffice mojo boards compared it to TMNT which last year made $1 mill more on friday than this and it barely passed 17 million opening weekend.FoneBone said:No, family movies usually get a boost on Saturdays. That's always been the case on GAF. Most people aren't film critics.EktorPR said:Now "shitty" is defined by people's expectations being crushed/not met or having different tastes. Awesome.
It's a family film. it will have long legs and stay a while. It's way to early to call it a bomb.Cheebs said:Someone at the boxoffice mojo boards compared it to TMNT which last year made $1 mill more on friday than this and it barely passed 17 million opening weekend.

Dude, it's friday estimates. I'm sorry but you have to out of your mind if you think this movie will do that badly based on one day.jett said:This movie will not have anything, it won't even match its marketing budget in the states. Those Friday numbers have sealed its fate. It'd have to be an unbelievable box-office freak the likes of which have never been seen for a heavily marketed "summer blockbuster" to overcome its current bomb label.
