Any recommendations on how to make stretch marks less visible? I've heard it's impossible to get them to go away completely.
If you're quads were hurting, it may be that you just need to get stronger doing body weight first. The quads are usually the hardest thing to make sore doing squats, at least for me. Usually my hips get sore first, and then maybe my hams if I haven't done them in a while. I need assistance work to get my quads near hypertrophy.Bearded Dudebro said:I'm just starting out with them, so It's very possible I haven't nailed the form yet. And honestly, my quads were killing me the first couple times I worked them. You know that initial soreness after working out a muscle you haven't worked in a while. It's hard not to focus on that ache. I was still able to complete the exercise in a controlled fashion, though. I should be able to keep my form under scrutiny.
Tanning, skin darkening lotion, and working out. Impossible to get rid off for good, without surgery. Little story, if you're board:Harry Potter said:Any recommendations on how to make stretch marks less visible?

I eat my boneless skinless chicken breasts with olive oil, basil, paprika, and oregano. I cook it at over 350 degrees (425 degrees for 30 minutes to be exact) .
I would love to continue eating two chicken breasts a day, but the HCAs is what has me worried.

are they still frozen when you cook them for 30 minutes? I cook chicken breasts around 400 for just over 20 minutes if they're totally unthawed and 25ish minutes if they're frozen in the middle.Jason's Ultimatum said:I keep getting conficting results when it comes to chicken and cancer causing agents. That's a lot of chicken man....I've heard that eating that much protein at once is not good for you since your body just can't digest/metabolize it that fastJB1981 said:Ok. Jason's Ultimatum said:Heterocyclic amines supposedly shows up cooking over 350 degrees.
What you should be worried about is the amount of protein your forcing your body to deal with it.
JB1981 said:So I bought some swim goggles and swim at the pool at my LA Fitness tonight. I am an OK swimmer but have never had any real lessons. I ran into this guy who was using one of the other lanes and he gave some pretty good tips on how to breathe during a freestyle swim. I really enjoyed it and I ended each lap breathing hard as hell. My cardio has suffered for a while and I want to focus on greater lung capacity and overall cardiovascular conditioning. Anyone else here swim?
I don't get it. When I grill chicken I usually buy a pack of perdue breasts. Are you guys telling me that two chicken breasts is a lot to you, particularly if you are training ? WTFMrToughPants said:Anorexic chicken?

Make sure you drop some volume in your routine, keep reps low (3-8) and continue to pursue strength gains and new records. Best way to maintain or even gain muscle on a cut, not the dumb circuit/high rep stuff people usually start doing with their cuts.SeanR1221 said:I think I might start cutting.
I'll keep my calories pretty low (but still high protein, low carb) and change my gym routine into...
- Chest/Tris
- Back/Bis
- Legs/Shoulders
with 2-3 days of Hiit peppered in.

Studies have shown that exposure to HCAs and PAHs can cause cancer in animal models (6). In many experiments, rodents fed a diet supplemented with HCAs developed tumors of the breast, colon, liver, skin, lung, prostate, and other organs (712). Rodents fed PAHs also developed cancers, including leukemia and tumors of the gastrointestinal tract and lungs (13). However, the doses of HCAs and PAHs used in these studies were very highequivalent to thousands of times the doses that a person would consume in a normal diet.

Also, 2-3 days of HIIT seems excessive on low calories. I'd drop all HIIT and instead do some brisk walking at an incline for 30-40 minutes a couple times a week. Low-intensity cardio spares muscle.

Only problem is I just got back from supermarket, yet I want to try loads of recipes ... but I have none of the ingredients[/whitepeopleproblems].

The Lamp said:You mean smoothie recipes?
Here are some good general guidelines:
* Mixing fruit of the same color together is usually a good idea.
* Don't mix citrus fruits (oranges, lemons, tangerines) with things like milk or peanut butter or ice cream.
* When in doubt, strawberry-banana
* Fruits and/or chocolate go amazing with peanut-butter
* For extra calories, add ice cream (and pick a flavor that goes with your fruit/milk/ingredient scheme)
* Always mix from blade to lid (bottom to top) in the order of fruit/solids/liquids, then powder, then ice.
* Don't forget ice.
* If your smoothie is coming out clumpy and watery, try putting in a banana. It usually evens out the texture.
* Try putting things you normally wouldn't eat in smoothies. I hate eating carrots, but they go nicely with fruit smoothies usually.
* Freezing your strawberries or other berries will make them last much longer, and the crunchy/icy texture of the fruit work well when you blend it.
