Nice job! I hope you have fun, kick ass and take names. Congrats, bud.OT
I got the job.
I'm gonna be a federal correctional officer, AND I'm graduating next month.
Shit's all working out for me.
First, the reason you almost certainly shouldn't take weight gainers indefinitely is because it's not a whole food. You'll want to transition to whole foods as soon as you can maintain your weight with them - meat, veggies, fruits, what have you. I'm delving into a little pseudoscience (that I'll stand by no less), but there's nutrition (not calories) you're missing out when you replace it with powdered supplements. You guys are the pros so I'll ask you.
I'm a hard gainer and it's been difficult for me to gain just about all my life. However, recently I've found something that's actually been working (to the tune of about 2 Ibs a week!); a ton of weight gainer per day. My question is, is there any reason I can't take this stuff indefinitely? It started off hard on my stomach but I've gotten used to it more a less. I currently take about 1300-1400 cals per day of weight gainer. I'm also thinking about upping that by about 300 calories in about 8 weeks or so. Also, HGH: yay or nay?
(From about 182 to 188 so far)
Weight gainers should be a temporary supplement - an assistance to your eating endeavors. A tool. And you're gaining weight at a good pace - you probably aren't putting on 2lbs of muscle every week so what do you stand to gain by eating more? Lift heavy and transition to whole foods as much as feasible whenever you hit your target weight.
As to the HGH question, nay. It's practically one of those questions that if you have to ask, the answer is probably no. Unless you plan on being an IFBB pro bodybuilder. It's best to stay clear, hopefully someone can post some of the awful side effects of HGH in particular. *cough* roid gut *cough*
