Nice, I got down to 229 then blew up to 260, mostly not fat. Now I'm trying to cut back down cuz I was still like 19% when I blew up. Before I started cut last a week and a half ago I was like 20%. Need to get as low as possible by June. I was 251 yesterday.

That's not bad at all! I think I am around 16% @ 238.

12% @ 230 by July would be great.

That is what I want to look like (as close as I can anyway) for this summer.

For my money, I'd like to get one of these soon. I guess their support is really good and they are double prong which will spread the stress out over a longer portion which should give you a longer time of use.

That one that you posted looked nice though though and I'm sure you couldn't go wrong with either.

Custom made but quick shipping, and Rippetoe recommends them on his forum. Says you can call them up and they're great to work with and offer great support. I guess they're supposed to last a lifetime. People talk about passing the belt onto their kids as an inheritance. Haha. I'll get one eventually but what I have works for now, and I'm about to drop a bunch of money on a smoker. Can't wait to get my swole on, BBQ style.

I've managed to do 0 cheat days in a few months which is nice. I'm scared to try a badass cake again because I'm currently going without sugar and I think it'd make me a cake-hater which ain't right!

The obvious loss happened about a month in, but now everything is fitting better and I know beneath the surface, it's working. So I gotta keep the faith and stick to my May 1st deadline and continue on this cutting train. It feels good though, wearing a shirt at work that would come untucked (it's made of some weird fabric that's really tight) and it doesn't untuck at all anymore and it is loose in some spots. So I know progress is there.

I am a believer in absolutely 0 cheat days though. Between that and the "don't wait for a certain day to change your diet" that infuriates my friends, I've got my mind on right.

Are you sick of chicken or tuna yet? I kinda am :/

Hell yes I am. But that doesn't matter. I try to make my routine as routine as I can so I don't look forward to meals. I just eat when I oughtta, and I get the same old shit. Turning something I loved doing (eating! trying new things! getting stuffed!) into something akin to pissing or shitting - just a necessary function.

I can't wait to go fucking buck wild when this cut is over.

I hate Tuna so I mostly eat chicken, definitely sick of it.

Man, yesterday was second day of couch to 5k and it was much harder than the first. Though, I did it on a day where I just increased squat and dead. I think running is much more difficult on days where I have to deadlift lol. Maybe it's the cut? Still did it though! Still going to do the next one too :mad:

Are you trying to run or get muscles? I recommend picking one or the other and not trying to do both. Which do you want more?

I'm just trying to maintain strength while building my completely non-existent cardiovascular system. (I can't be 2013 Rock Sunny!) My lifts are taking priority since I do them first, I get to eat a little more on my cut since I burn calories running, and I'm doing my best to get a ton of protein. I don't know, no signs of burning out at this point?
I definitely want muscles tho.

fml, I've lost 15 pounds since breaking my leg. was 190, now I'm 175. most of it is probably from my right leg, a little from left leg (even though it's supporting most of my weight), and my arms and chest are noticeably smaller, and my abs have disappeared. I've been too tired to do anything, today is the first day I have the energy to exercise. hella pushups and pullups (yeah right lol) I guess.

Fuck, catered lunch at work. Pork loin w/garlic mashed potatoes, cheesecake and italian cream cake.

I put the pork on my plate, walked away and cried. No cheat days...CURSES!

Happy my willpower is still intact though.

taking it slow in coming back is difficult. I'll be back in the gym some time during the week of April 1st to do cardio and upper body. it just really sucks not being able to play basketball.

That is hardcore. I'd be lying if I said such a thing never crossed my mind, though!

I'm tempted to just slow bulk forever since I've put on 25 pounds in the past seven months. I'm really comfortable at 15%-20%BF @190lbs compared to 10%-12%BF @165lbs. The only thing that's held me back is not wanting to buy new pants over a 32" waist, lol. I now have two pairs of jeans that fit me and the rest of the time I'm in sweats or track pants. That's the only thing holding me back from a bulk furious enough to close the weight gap between me and FallingEdge.

And you guys are crazy. No way I could put the food in my mouth just to spit it out. Sweets don't really do anything for me. It is just the greasy "dirty" foods that cause me to buckle.

Jack in the Box is absolute dogshit but I made sure to have one of their Hot Mess burgers before I started this. Shit was dope. God damn,.

In my defense, I try to choose the really stall, hard cookies, so they don't taste that great.

Nothing! It was great. But all the other things...gok damn! Looked SO good.

Oh okay, I was wondering what was wrong with best meat. Best tasting anyway. Those other things would be hard to resist, at least the cheesecake. I could care less about mashed potatoes or that other cake, but cheesecake if it's homemade or from a good restaurant is something I could tear up.

I think I'm around 20% based on some other pictures I've seen on the net. Though based on the pictures above I'd be between 20 and 25%. I'd like to be between 12-15%. On that note, any practical suggestions on how to get to that place in 3 months before my anniversary trip? Or at least to make good headway? I'm doing SS now.

Ugh I hate this chart. I feel miles away from 15% guy in terms of leanness. My gut isn't even as flat as the 20% guy, FFS.

yea, that chart sucks. Not everyone's fat distribution is the same, it would be a better chart if it were all the same person or at least similar musculature and lighting. That said, a lot of people underestimate their bodyfat percentage.


I'm currently sitting between 10-12%

Underestimate or overestimate? I tend to think I'm higher than the calipers measures plugged into whatever formula would suggest.
 
You very well could be. In any case, just use it as a way to measure your progress. If you measure it the same way over and over again and it is dropping, then you are doing something right.

Although there is nothing wrong with prepping the chicken in different ways or eating different types of protein.

Yeah that's the way I think about it now. I did eat 3 lb tilapia the other day and it was so much better but really way more expensive.

I just get the boneless skinless breasts Tyson from Costco. It's 2 something a lb.

Another option is egg whites. Yesterday I ate a whole large carton and 2 lb of chicken instead.

I just foreman grill it cuz it's fastest and least annoying.

I enjoy eating tuna melts and when it comes to chicken, I like to take it in a salad for lunch.

For dinner, it is shredded chicken cooked on a pan and throw in like 3-4 eggs and eat it with a tortilla.
