I'm not offended by a lot of reviews. Shadow Fall getting 5s and such yeah totally irrelevant but not something I care to be angered over. Just a recent example of a game that is an actual 8/10.
Flower is something else. It provokes my hatred in Gamespot. I just don't see their reviewers as mattering anymore. Flower to me is a game, once in a couple years, that comes along that can finally convince people that games are not just frackin' violence and death. It's a game with a soul, a heart, and the feeling for me is rarely matched. I KNOW I am not alone.
Sorry, it's not just this review. It's a lot of reviews these days. People, as said before, seemingly just do checkmarks on games now. And mark them off points for not having something on that list. Flower doesn't need replay value though it has plenty for a 7 dollar game. All I have to say is the review is terrible and just doesn't do anything for me. In particular, "If you're looking for an antidote to the many sequels and franchises on the market, then Flower offers something unique and while it lasts, it's a great game in its own right."
8/10
LOL, sorry, but these reviewers are weak in the knees. They don't possess the critical faculties that I need and yes instead of getting in an uproar I should just not pay attention to them. I have tried to like gamespot but it gets harder and harder. I just don't see the point. It's unique! It's great! But it's short! You can't play it forever guys and you can't waste half your life shooting people in the head!
No shit! Sorry, but an 8/10 is not a great game. It's a good game. Flower is a hell of a lot more than that for a lot of people. So I don't agree with this guy and threw out a couple fucks. I didn't hurt anyone last I checked. But when you rate some garbage like COD or whatever that no one in their right mind will remember in 10 years I just can't dig it anymore.
