Football Thread 13/14 |OT10| Silence of the Lambda

Ive seen us sit back on a goal up, now im watching us sit back on a draw

What is this nonsense

He had contact on his foot, running at full speed.

How's it a dive?

He is dragging his left foot to make it hit the keeper, whom by the way does nothing but have the player's leg crash into his arm. Lloris' arms are laid static on the ground. Though he gets nothing of the ball, its not like the two came into together as so often happens in situations like that.

It's a clear cut example of a player looking for the pen

He was looking for the penalty, but contact was made that would cause you to fall, thus making it not a dive.

You're arguing whether or not the two players had enough contact to warrant a fall. Which is completely beside the point.

He was fouled inside the box, and granted a free kick inside the box, in this sport called a penalty.

if you start the debut of was enough force in a tackle for the player to fumble then you're opening a bigger argument than any of us can resolve.

But do you blame Dean for giving the penalty? At full speed it looks like the keeper goes to the ground, misses the ball and trips the player.
