Tough job at the minute, Spurs. Losing one of the worlds top players was never going to be easy but the £100m it netted them could have been a springboard. They're suddenly in a position where they're stuck between some of the deadwood they've been carrying for years and some of the absolute shite signed in the summer.

There's probably the core of a decent team buried somewhere in that bloated and expensively assembled group, but it'll probably take a more experienced manager than Sherwood to find it.
