lol i did the same thing but im getting it on Friday, wouldnt you rather tape it and watch it in the morning?

How much are you paying for it? mine is $86 for the sports value pack and that was on special. lol what a joke.
yeah, i probably will end up doing that. i went to the kiosk and chatted to the guy for a while, in the end I got: free installation, $150 HD IQ box and 82/month for the sports HD package (everything bar movies) on a 6 month plan.

so ~$640 all up for 6 months of HD goodness. the plan is $102 after 6 months but he mentioned if i mention cancelling once they try to renew they'll better my current deal.

what's in your sports value pack?

edit: these seem like generic football manager quotes...

So, Arsenal fans how would you feel about a Sahin loan?

You don't need to tell me what an amazing player he is and of course he could improve your midfield. Wenger is surely interested, he said Sahin "is the most interesting youth player in the world" when Sahin was 16. But Nuri hasn't played properly for more than a year. Who knows when he'll be back at his game. The season might as well be almost over then and Sahin gone again. Would you still be happy about it?

What's Kolarov's status at City? I'm reading we want him for 6M€. Dzeko + Kolarov pack for 30M€, what say you, MCs?
City won't sell Dzeko for less than £25m and Kolarov is probably worth about €10m. He wants to get more playing time but he's a good bench player and FK specialist. I don't really expect we'll sell him unless the price is right. Honestly, it's getting too late for City to do much selling because the cost of replacing will be too high now. I did see we were interested in some LB from the South Korean Olympic team though so who knows.

Much better than Ramsey and Diaby. I'd say Arteta will get first pick for a while if Nuri does come. Would link up well with Cazorla. We need someone of his exceptional quality to keep us running until Wilshere comes back.

Well Kolarov is certainly behind Clichy in the pecking order. He's good at going forward and has a mean cross but defensively he isn't brilliant and Clichy is better at defending.

Clichy, what a bargain.

I was sure Liverpool had done better in getting Enrique. Clichy got better and better from like November onwards, while Enrique went to shit halfway through January and never really got back to his September standard. Ah well, most of Enrique's problems can be beaten out of him

So you can enter Europe without even beginning to earn your place there. You'd have to be some kinda yellow-bellied slingback jerkoff to choose that. When I get into Europe on PES6, I'm gonna be happy as a pig in Goodison Park, because I'll have earned it over the course of at least 3 seasons fucking about with Minanda and Ximilez

Someone in the UK won the Euro Millons last night. Over £140,000,000.

It wasn't me. Sorry GAF, otherwise you could all have season tickets for your relevant clubs. But Fady, I'd fly Fady over and wine and dine him at the Etihad.

The big problem with Enrique is that when he and Downing were deployed on the left of a 4-4-2 last season, they ended up occupying the same space, which meant that when one had the ball, the other was either redundant, or they were making 5 yard sideways passes to each other without actually getting anywhere.

Fatigue probably didnt help either, since he played a ridiculous number of games. He's done well so far in this pre-season I reckon. I hope we use Robinson a bit more though.

RVP likely to play some part against Cologne. Interesting... I thought he had worn the Arsenal shirt for the last time...

Hopefully Giroud, Podolski and Cazorla are given game time. They are the ones I really want to see on the pitch for us.

I like that you can play the CL in the first season. If my club if qualified in real life, why not in the vidyagame?

I like the thrill of making it to the top of the league and thereby qualifying my team.

It's still a pity EA doesn't own the rights to have an official EL and CL in the game.

Would be very happy, Wilshere won't be back playing properly for awhile, Ramsey shouldn't be starting every week and Diaby is bound to get injured pretty quick.

I'm not too worried that he hasn't played that much in the past year he is a good player and if we give him the games I think he'll start showing his best form again.

So now that Ki probably won't have to do military service, his value should rise. I'm a bit annoyed at people saying he can't be good because he plays for Celtic, or because he plays in the SPL. He is very good and he's behind other very good players in the pecking order up here. If there's one position Celtic are strong it's centre midfield.

It would be nice if he stays, though, but honestly any offer close to what's being talked about and the club will accept. He's worth at least as much as Allen though. ;)

D ‏@AFCAMDEN
AFC believe Song to Barcelona talk was instigated by his Agent to drive up his new deal here. Picked up momentum in Spanish press/Barca

D ‏@AFCAMDEN
If AFC sell, it's purely their choice. No external/internal pressure. Really like Song but ok with him being sold & replaced w/ 'natural DM'

Pretty much one of only 3 Arsenal "ITK's" worth listening to (the other two being Jamie Sanderson and of course, BBC's David Ornstein).

Had a long day already. I don't have the breath to laugh as much as this deserves.

Football season starts today, gents. Only the first round of the League Cup but still.

That said I've got to wait until Monday. We are the first televised game of the season away at Oldham on Sky (piss off, Sky)

Can't be fucked to get Sky this year, liveonlinefooty will do me fine as well as MOTD, the Football League show and it's European equivalents.

Ex-Siena defender Emanuele Pesoli has chained himself to the front of the FIGC headquarters and started a hunger strike after his ban in the betting scandal.

The player was suspended for three years for sporting fraud after the Disciplinary Commission gave its verdicts on Friday.

This morning, Pesoli began a high-profile protest against the decision and is demanding a face-to-face confrontation with his accusers, Filippo Carobbio and Carlo Gervasoni.

Pesoli chained himself to the gates outside the Federation headquarters in Rome and announced the start of a hunger strike.

He was punished as part of the same evidence used to ban ex-Siena Coach Antonio Conte for 10 months and his assistant Angelo Alessio for eight months.

Those accused in the betting trial have complained they are not allowed to question the whistleblowers in court.

The appeals process begins on August 20.
