Morning,I can confirm that I'm in talks with two premier league clubs about a loan move, hope to sort it by tomorrow evening..

Going to bet on West Ham and Everton.

Edit: Beaten by Feorax, but I brought the details.

No one posted the England squad haha?
Far too much Terry/Lampard for me. Get rid.

Goalkeepers: Jack Butland (Birmingham City), Joe Hart (Manchester City), John Ruddy (Norwich City).

Defenders: Leighton Baines (Everton), Ryan Bertrand (Chelsea), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Joleon Lescott (Manchester City), John Terry (Chelsea), Kyle Walker (Tottenham Hotspur).

Midfielders: Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Tom Cleverley (Manchester United), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Adam Johnson (Sunderland), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), James Milner (Manchester City), Theo Walcott (Arsenal).

Forwards: Andy Carroll (Liverpool), Jermain Defoe (Tottenham Hotspur), Daniel Sturridge (Chelsea), Danny Welbeck (Manchester United).

Do the other big Italian teams find it as difficult to find a striker? Bar the Conte stuff it sounds like its pretty much down to money.

Other big Italian clubs? No, really...? Alright, I'm being a prick. But look, there's a reason why Milan were forced to replace Ibra with Pazzini, why Inter turn to Cassano and Palacio, why an aged Forlan was the last big striker signing for them. Milan was also linked to Dzeko, mind. It's fucked up all around, but the difference is that Milan and Inter are both in rebuilding phases and, while still big teams who can compete, we're meant to be on the upswing. A signing like Bendtner doesn't wholly reflect that.

Juventus

In:
Giovinco (€11m)
Isla (€9.4m co-ownership)
Asamoah (€9m co-ownership)
Cáceres (€8m)
Giaccherini (€4.25m)
Boakye (€4m co-ownership)
Leali (€3.8m)
Masi (undisclosed)
Pogba (free transfer)
Lúcio (free transfer)

Out:
Elia (€7.5m)
Krasic (€7m)
Pasquato (€1.5m co-ownership)
Motta (€1.5m loan with option to buy)
Melo (€1.75m loan with option to buy)
Estigarribia (loan ended)
Borriello (loan ended)
Grosso (contract ended)
Manninger (contract ended)
Del Piero (contract ended, hearts broken, tears wept)

~€30m net spend as far as I can tell, prior to Marotta setting fire to money to bring in 'top striker' Nicklas "scores every four games" Bendtner.

It's still a fucking fantastic transfer campaign in my mind. Also, do keep in mind that if Nicklas "scores every four games" Bendtner stays true to his nickname, that's 10 goals, and about as good as Matri (who will fucking HAVE to do better this campaign). But hey, f we get 10 goals out of Bendtner, fuck sign him up.

I wonder if we could have made a move for Huntelaar. I know he flopped at Milan, but who knows?

family martinez checking out their sons conference. cute!

Out:
Andy Carroll (Newcastle, £50m)
Jay Spearing (Bolton, £3m)
Charlie Adam (Stoke, £5m)

In:
Nani (£8m)
Cabaye (£6m)
Stefan Jovetic (£16m)
Remy (£2m)
Sandro (£9m)

Rafa VDV left training an hour early today.

Please don't go :(

If he leaves then it's partly to do with his wife's job in Germany. Also he's been terrible in the opening two games, and if it means we get Moutinho (which is looking pretty likely now) then I'm ok with it.

Reckon it's Fulham to be a Dempsey/Dembele stopgap replacement. That's two huge losses if Clint goes.

Berba will fire them to EL football though, fear not.

The wheels are in motion.

This Marotta chap has signed some class players for you guys. Give him a break.

I think the fanbase is pretty split. I don't think anyone will have said that he's done a bad job when looking at our midfield and defense, but they'll just begrudge him for promising a top striker and delivering Bendtner. I mean, maybe everyone is wrong and Bendtner will knock in 20+ goals?

Yes, he has. The risk he took on Pirlo turned out to be inspired. Bringing back Caceres warmed hearts. Vidal for €12.5m or whatever was daylight robbery. And even though he's overspent on plenty of players (Pepe, Matri, arguably even Asamoah, Isla, Vucinic...), they've for the most part come good.

There's only be a few grave, grave errors (Martinez, Motta), but they weren't obviously grave when they were made.

The thing is, though, that he's been promising and talking up a 'top striker' signing for two seasons now, and it hasn't materialized. And it's the one position Juventus desperately need to fill: last season we relied on 20 different goalscorers from all over the pitch to compensate for no one forward getting more than 10 goals. It has long been lamented that Juve lack a clinical striker to lead the team. Bendtner, after a laundry list of promises and prospects, will not be that.

Is everyone happy with their clubs summer signings? I'm delighted with the improvements that have been made to Uniteds squad. A world class striker and a brilliant attacking midfielder have strengthened our first team, we have competition for Evra and we've also signed two highly rated 18 year olds.

Is there any position you'd like your team to fill before the transfer window closes?

I still want a fast young winger, preferably English, around 23 years old would do.

And I'd like a goal scoring midfielder who can play out wide if asked, someone experienced, from somewhere in the USA would be nice.

And Cavani and Falcao.

Arsenal have done nowhere near enough yet, In either buying or selling. We need a DM and a right-back at the very lest.

Would you be willing to give him 100 grand a week?

Motta, yes, that made sense. Promising young Italian RB, captain at the under-21 level.

Elia? Signed for a 4-2-4, but we never ended up playing it because Vidal is amazing.
Ziegler? Free transfer. Didn't really work out but it's a net profit.

I'll even forgive the signing of Rinuado...

But Martinez? That was out of NOWHERE and made NO sense. I'm still bitter about that.

We need a striker. NEED.

And you don't tell us "Van Persie is among the best, it is between him, Higuain and Suarez" and then go for Bendtner.

Fucking with Viola over Berbatov was an extremely short-sighted dumb move by him, now we can forget about Jovetic.

Reasonably happy. I still think we need another DM and CB to shore up the defence. Another striker wouldn't go amiss either.

is AVB trying to self destruct spurs?

No, we have signed Dembele and Sigurdsson who can both play in VDVs position. He's been a great player for us but he is getting older and he does get injured all the time. If someone offers the right money, it makes sense to sell him. I just hope that doesn't happen (though if he does go I won't miss his god awful corners). He is such a natural finisher with his left foot, some of his finishes last season were better than RVP.

€12m is unacceptable and barely more than we paid for him. If that's all they are offering Levy will probably tell them to jog on.
