its gonna kill our team this and Gerrard especially, not sure how LFC will cope with that next season

the team will finish 20+ points above last season's point total and qualify for the CL for the first time in five years. it's been a phenomenally good season for Liverpool. let's not lose perspective or get greedy here.

Time being wasted is even the secondary effect, the primary effect is that it takes such momentum out of the game. Everton now looks like they just want to go shower and go home to play Call of Duty

Yep, killing momentum is the big problem. Refs need to be more hardlined about it and play on even if the player is down.

For example in Rugby, players can be treated on the pitch for an injury whilst play is going. The team just has to put up with having only 14 players for a minute or two whilst play is going on.

Fuck it, let's go balls-out on Saturday and try and get as close on GD as we can. Even if it loses us the game, it means we finish 3rd instead of 2nd, a sacrifice that'd be well worth-it imo

its not about being greeedy, the players themselves believed we could do it, it aint happening now and due to imo the worst possible way, you dont get past that easily.

This isn't even the worst possible way. Look at the way United threw it away a few seasons ago.

hell yes!! city deserve the title, play the best football. wouldnt mind lpool winning it but they are going to drop points and hand the title to chelsea.

aguerro + dzeko delivering the title again, yaya amazing this season

The combination of lax defending and the fact that Everton had long spells of controlling the tempo of the game is depressing. The Dzeko time wasting was just the cheery on top.

last season, they finished 7th. this season, they'll probably lose the title on goal difference or a point or two. if there's one message players will take away from that, it's "we can do it."

let's not discount FSG pumping a lot of money into the club, also. they did it for Kenny and now that Rodgers has shown that he deserves that trust (not to mention, CL qualification), obviously the squad will be strengthened in the summer.

hopefully it will be a lesson to the squad and will make us more determined next season.

I hope that, though one thing I remember seeing in the news back in the summer transfer window that still bugs me, don't know if its true though. Supposedly the owners didnt want to give Rodgers more money than they already had as they were afriad it would be wasted, makes me wonder what would have happened if they had.

Can see Liverpool dropping points now, mentally they must be broken.

It doesn't matter.

City will finish within 6 points of us at best, Chelsea within 4. That's a massive achievement in and of itself. Can't allow ourselves to be disappointed, otherwise what's the point of football if you can't be happy with such a meteoric improvement?
