Every single one of those movies is middling and unspectacular. Gangs of New York was good not for Scorsese but for the production and Daniel Day Lewis. Only Casino is worthy of mention.
I agree with the sentiment, I think he is massively overrated but consistent at what he does.
In comparison to American Hustle though, he takes a massive shit on that movie. It was sooo bad, it was like a first year film student who has a massive hard on for Scorsese was given a bunch of money to make a movie and just lifted bits he liked from his films and tried to throw them together. When De Niro showed up, it became a self-parody.

I loved having Casillas and Lopez (although Casillas led us to big trouble a few times) but yeah it was inevitable. You're not going to keep two GKs of that quality in the team......but then how does it make sense to sign Navas? He'd be a starter in most clubs, is Ancelotti going with the same plan again: one GK for CL and one for the league? Might as well just keep the two we have unless Monaco/Napoli comes with a good price.
