Basically there is This Anime called Watamote. The main character is a a socially ill person depict in a comical way. The thing about this characters is that Its basically a liar, Manipulator, call her friend a slut, just because she doesn't have friend, and is socially inept. The Anime depict her character as a vile one ad the comical situation sort of happens at her own misfortune just because she feels superior to everyone else and start calling people by names and stuff, in her head that is because she can't string two sentences together.
so I started criticising the show for being what it as well as not giving the character a room to grow. There is simply no character progression, and in every episode, she acts like prick and cringe worthy situation happens because of her own ineptitude.
Now the people at the Anime Thread, have the exact opposite opinion of me due to the nature of the character, an they are excusing her vile and rude actions because of her social anxiety and from the sound of things, they say, the show reflects really what people who are socially anxious feel.
I started getting perplexed by all the praise the show is getting, so I voiced my distaste of it since I really do think the main character is s horrible piece of human creator and the fact that she is socially ill doesn't excuse her behaviour. I also said that if the show really depict how those people feel, then screw those people, because maybe they should become better people instead of alluding their superiority over others and hence giving themselves leeway for being as such. The key word is if, because I have made it clear that Socially anxious people are not as bad as Tomoko hence my distaste for the show, not only for its cringe worthy situation, but using those people as comical offshoot to thier own profit
So there is one poster who said that I was off the hook and the fact that I said that ''screw those people'' made my opinion of things irrelevant and somewhat offensive. I was quite angry and replied that you are just cherry picking my comment and that sentence was taken out of context in order to make your point more favourable.
That is why that poster said I hostile, and everyone else agreed to it.
