German GAF what the fuck is Der Sechzehner and who is Sandro Wagner?
wtzgU.gif

sechzehn = sixteen
sechzehner = personification of sixteen
the penalty zone is 16m long and the germans call it colloquially sechzehner.

sandro wagner was a former bayern youth and was expected to become a great player. he never did as expected and went on to other clubs. every trade one a step down...

to slow

I can't wait to see Liverpool's response when Suarez goes to Madrid though and not for anywhere near the amount they want.

The fans will cope.

The "Brendan is turning us into Barcelona 2.0 - a socialist boa constrictor with wings" shit will go into overdrive.

Wouldn't getting Gomez be cheaper and easier? Villa will put up a fight for Benteke.

Not sure it will be cheaper, Gomez will probably demand a better salary too and Villa will need to accept bids that aren't too crazy.

You say that now, but wait until he stands having beaten Barcelona this season out of the knockout stages for København.

I want to masturbate watching Amú and Saponetta training.
Please tell me they're at Milanello today.

I swear I read something about who will be there and those who won't, but I can't find it. Saponetta will be there, confirmed by @Milanello, Amù finished the U20 World Cup recently, didn't he? The Italy players ended the Confed Cup a week ago and will be back on the 24th, Jherson will be at Milanello that day too, probably.

It's in Liverpool's interest to sell early as possible. The longer they wait the less they'll get and they won't be able to use the money.

The longer we wait the less likely he is to be sold. Suarez leaving isn't an inevitability. Suarez is the type who will give 100%, even if he doesn't feel happy at the club. He's a fighter, never satisfied if he's not winning and playing for 90 minutes. The club hierarchy know this, and won't be forced to sell him. He won't go AWOL.

I'm not so sure about that. Gomez fee is reported around the 20m bracket and Villa will want more than that as without Benteke they are pretty much screwed. You are right about the wages though, Gomez will definitely want a lot more but he's proven and has more experience. A price goalscorer, I'm not so confident Benteke is.

I wish Arsenal were in for him rather than this Higuain hard on we currently have.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a massive attitude change in him if Madrid apply the blow torch to Liverpool. Suarez will turn on Liverpool in that case.

I don't think it's easy for a club like Chelsea to get Gomez. The way I see it, Gomez wants to go back to his role at Stuttgart. Being striker number one without a single doubt and a familiar atmosphere at the club. That's why he's linked so much with Florence and Napoli.

The bite would have received a red card, but otherwise his actions are normally rewarded yellows. Diving is not an automatic red.

He's stamped and kicked players multiple times. I would say he is lucky not to have received more suspensions during his time at Liverpool.

Spurs kits finally revealed today. I thought Under Armour did a pretty good job with the last ones, even the grey/black kit grew on me.

Chelsea are preparing a bid for Aston Villa star Christian Benteke as Jose Mourinho seeks a solution to the club's pursuit of a new striker. (Duncan Castles)

Eh, would be easier to just keep Ba then.... Although he is Belgian!

Which only makes the witch hunt that some believes are going on even more hilarious. Some of the stuff he has gotten away with has just been insane.

I can't see it. Even if we might have missed out on Cavani, we would still be looking at an upgrade on our current options. Benteke probably isn't that much better than Lukaku and we might as well trust the latter with the starting spot in this case.

That said, I wouldn't really mind him coming either, being young and potentially an elite player. I don't really like taking players from clubs after they had one season with them though, often feel like a player should give his club at least two good seasons.

In individual cases like that, a red card is necessary. In fact, I almost wish he had been properly punished for incidents like that, kicking Scott Parker in the stomach, because maybe he would have thought twice before he bit Ivanovic in the arm.

But the "witch hunt" line still serves. It's got nothing to do with separate incidents, it's because when compared with other players, Suarez's punishment has been comparatively harsh.

Why did you even have to say anything? Now you've opened a can of worms.

So you count a player's yellow cards received, divide it in half, and that's how many red cards they've supposedly gotten? Your logic is seriously next level.

Nope. I meant if he got booked for how many times he dived he would've been sent off

Understand what I am trying to say before talking about my logic smartass :D

That's entirely up to the buyer though. We can't sell him in July if an interested club doesn't put forward a reasonable offer until the 25th August.

If we can't get a replacement in, I see no reason why we would sell unless it's for seriously stupid money (£65 million plus).

Also, Spearing to Blackburn? I'm so sorry Jeff...

In your dreams :p

Jack got rid of his Agent cause as he said: "I dont need an agent cause I will never leave Arsenal"

LAD!

He doesn't need an agent because he'll be released on a free after 4 years of constant injuries.

How about make your logic understandable before expecting other people to jump through the same ridiculous logical hoops you did?

He wouldn't have been sent off, because he would stop diving if he had been booked. Players almost never get sent off for diving - if they're already in the book, it's extremely rare that a) the referee books them for simulation as it's considered a rather light offense and requires the referee to determine that it was deliberate, and b) the player dives while already on a yellow.

Are you kidding me Arsenal? I thought it was a joke until I saw it on the BBC site.

Tell that to Torres and Chelsea after they got screwed against Man Utd.

Chiellini-Bonucci-Barzagli
Buffon

Bench: Ogbonna

It would be interesting if it happened. Wenger didn't mind having violent players in his early years at Arsenal, they were one of the dirtiest teams around when they were winning things. Maybe it would be good for Arsenal to have someone like him.

Torres is on tilt so bad that a tiny rain cloud follows him everywhere to make him miserable. Against Man Utd it becomes a localized thunderstorm.

Remember when he missed that penalty against Tahiti? £50m....

People in Milanello want Kakà back, and they're singing about it.

I don't even

Fellaini and Suarez bids for double trouble.

I've just realised, have we ever had such a major striker shuffle in the sport in one transfer window?

Cavani
Falcao
Tevez
Higuain
Llorente
Gomez
David Villa
Possibly Suarez
Possibly Rooney

Morning Footey Gaf. I believe I have read we have Bojan for a year. At least some transfer muppetery happened during my absence. Since PSV was interested too I like the fact we acted fast this time around.
