What kind of teams are we playing? And how many matches give or take?

The £14m headline is a bit misleading it seems. That's what the deal is total (ie the transfer fee plus the wages over the 3 and a half years).

Mind if Defoe scores 7 or 8 between now and May it will keep us up and no-one will think anything of it.

Palace have signed Sanago, we've got Defoe. If Sanogo scores more and keeps Palace up we're cursed and fuck life, the universe and EVERYTHING.

Away from the actual money business, the way MLS does transfers is fascinating and could absolutely fuck Toronto over here:

"However, there is sentiment among many the league would prefer to see Altidore land with an American based team, namely back with the Red Bulls. Toronto FC wants to keep the player. But depending on how the process plays out, they may be forced into a settlement with said team ahead of them in the allocation rankings if they decide they want Altidore. Again, Toronto FC doesn't want the cash transaction; they want the player.
This adds an intriguing wrinkle; if MLS head office wants Altidore in New York, they can make it happen. As sensational as it sounds, MLS could in fact play a role in Altidore landing elsewhere despite the swap deal agreed upon by Toronto FC and Sunderland. Which begs the question; how does MLS feel about having two of the top US Men's National team players both playing for Toronto? The Red Bulls are the team to watch in the coming days. If they jump up in the allocation process, they threaten the chances of Altidore joining Toronto FC while raising questions about league influence in transfer dealings. The drama and intrigue revolving around Altidore's landing spot will play out in the coming days. If all goes to plan, Altidore will be a Toronto FC player."

Sanogo will score a goal per game at Palace. Defenders confounded by his nonexistent center of gravity and Gumby-esque movement. The ebon juggernaut. The new Demba Ba. The second coming of Adebayor. The dortmund killer.

Pressing does not work on him.

hopefully wengy gives Akpom some minutes

Woah, I've not even really posted since the World Cup, essentially. So much for trying to hop in this whole FootyGaf mess.

Take 2, I guess.

I need help choosing an English team to support.

Well I guess Arsenal is out of the question, since they seem depressing to support. Then again I just need a hobby until Bayern has more Bundesliga competition, maybe mediocrity is the way to go.

I mean mediocre regarding transfers. I started floating about here during the World Cup and people were still complaining then about a lack of signings, özil jokes, etc. Seems disappointing to follow is all I mean.

Wait for Hitcher and he might provide you with his chart that helped him pick a club.

I've followed Bayern since 2001 when I first started watching the sport, was born in Munich if there is any consolation. A lot of people tend to well, dislike Bayern.

I watch a few but I'm just not sure. Liverpool last season were really fun to watch, great pace and offensive style, but I used to have a sort of connection to Arsenal just because of some of my former German favorites heading that way. I think I need a team with good potential and a solid history, but not the best around.

You lot don't talk much during this time. I forget most of you are probably still in Europe. I'm stuck with my parents until I can finally go back for school.

Sorry, I sound extremely boring right now. I promise I am less dull than this. I guess I'm just trying to introduce myself or something.

Who gives a shit if people hate bayern lol. Should make you even more vocal in support here.

Bayern are a fantastically run club, awesome stadium, supporters, players and the best coach in the world.

People hate bayern cause they ain't bayern.

Bayern is all you need m8

Yeah always quiet around this time. Not boring btw, its not like there's anything to discuss right now at this moment. We're always talking shit in here regardless haha.

You're pretty cool, I just figure people hate Bayern because we bought the Bundesliga. I don't like buying the competition anymore than the critics. Ah well, it isn't entirely true anyways. We just like German talent.

I am scared to talk shit, every time I do something like Real Madrid second leg happens.

He cheated Ireland.

Totti might not be a gentlemen on the field, but he ain't a cheat.
Not any worse than diving to win a penalty or overreacting contact to get decisions and players sent off. Using the Ireland example most players are cheats.

The ref shafted Ireland, not Henry. And if you try and claim Totti hasn't dived to win decisions then...

I assume you all play games like Fifa and Pes together, right? I think a few of you post about it. I'm not really all that good since I don't get to play other people too much, but is it too early for me to ask about that?

I'm annoyed by Bayern because they are too good, and Manchester United is sucking donkey tits atm, but the way the club is run is impressive.

The fact that they put their season ticket prices at a low is fantastic, and many EPL clubs could learn from that.

In the soundbite, from last year, he says: 'We could charge more than £104. Let's say we charged £300. We'd get £2m more in income but what's £2m to us?
'In a transfer discussion you argue about that sum for five minutes. But the difference between £104 and £300 is huge for the fan.
'We do not think the fans are like cows, who you milk. Football has got to be for everybody.
'That's the biggest difference between us and England.'

No you're right, people do hate Bayern, but it's for the reasons I listed :p

and the stealing german talents lol

I'm in New Zealand so I'm always up when these guys are all sleeping so I am in the same boat as you.

Yeah most people here play either Fifa or PES. Some(like me), play both.

We do have a PS4 pro club team(BANTER FC). Then the PC players copied us and made a BELIEVE FC. Not sure about Xbox One though.

For PES we have FC PIZZAIOLI which consists of me, Shanks and Zobojnik.

There are some gr8 FIFA players here if you play regular 1 v 1 too. Willkiller, Bla, Long Johnson etc.

I got no problem with Bayern provided Bayern - GAF don't troll Ozil which winds me up.

Sunderland are paying Defoe how much?

I'd rather have Sanogo. Stupid money has put Palace in administration twice during the time I've supported them, and I'd rather not go down that route again.

José Enrique might be joining us on loan though. I would have him.

Henry acted like he had done nothing wrong. And still jokes about it.

And I have never seen Totti dive for a penalty. Fuck that cheating ref who screwed the great man in 2002.

SO lemme get this straight Shanks, you hate both of your captains Del Piero AND Henry? -_-

Oh shit, Sass went out of the Coppa. I had been rooting for them. Would have loved to have seen them in Europe.

they were playing with their B team. Meh, let them focus on the league, I wanna see them finish in the top 7 or higher!

That's it.

It's like every new slice of gameplay is centred around an entirely fucking ludicrous mechanic or gimmick.

And then the story is totally pointless and of little consequence.

And then there's that stupid cigar time travelling device.

It's all just overly ridiculous. None of the games in the franchise have as overtly revelled in ludicrous stupidity like MGSV has. Even the fucking dog is stupid.

Previous games had the weird nonsense embedded within a serious and intriguing chassis. This has none of that. I just see Jack Bauer shouting "Kaz!", a character that plays no part in any of the other main games.

I'm actually glad they are are not showing much story related stuff. By the time MGS4 came out, you basically knew every story cutscene already because they were shown in soooo many trailers.

The cigar is there to skip day and night cycles btw. Better than just going to a random bed and press F to Sleep.

And Kaz is your mentor in MGS1, Arnie. He basically helps you through the whole game
until u find out its liquid.
