arent you guys forgetting Messi will be dribbling a ball made of toilet paper around a toilet from behind bars in a few months?

Welcome.

Arsenal are brilliant. The club. The fans. The stadium. Sensational.

well then, innocent until proven guilty, as i always say.

Welcome good to have another arsenal fan, just minumum requirements so you know.

Question to see if you're a true fan?

Do you peddle along the perception that ramsey is world class despite not having played a full season playing at that level?.

Do defend Ozil to the grave and believe he is the key to us winning the quadruple? And harbor hopes that he will be the next zidane?

Do you believe Wiltshere is the british Iniesta?

When you look at Chambers, do you see Tony Adams in disguise?

Do you believe maintaining a CL spot playing entertaining football for 17 consective seasons is as if not more important than winning silverware?

If your answers are yes, then welcome my friend, welcome.
if i answer "yaya sanogo", am i still technically correct?

I feel like football is entering a golden age again. Just needs some sensational strikers to start developing... and it'll be like the 90's to 09/10

I feel that the magic is slowly leaving football as a whole. The economization of football has made things way too predictable. I guess it's an inevitable development, but it's still unfortunate. I don't know what can be done against this, but obviously FFP is not helping.

Adidas no CL clause doesn't come into play until we're out of the CL for two consecutive seasons under Adidas...so the earliest that would be is the 2017/2018 season.

Basically...we'll have won the CL by then.

If we can't scrape into the CL this season, I think it could well be a long time until we get back in. First things first, get Sterling, Coutinho and Henderson signed up long term. Sturridge already signed an extension in October, its vital that we keep hold of the players we want to keep hold of in the event that we finish 5th or below, especially Sterling who will definitely be courted by teams in the CL.

And unlike Man Utd, we don't make enough in merchandising and sponsorship to spend big every summer until we get back in. We had our chance to cement ourselves as a CL team, and we fucking blew it with poor transfers/signings that would take time to adapt, and boneheaded tactical setups that were proven not to work.

Rodgers seems to have made great strides in fixing the latter and some of our signings are improving, but it came too late to save our CL campaign, and its probably come too late for us to salvage our league season to the extent that we're back in it next year.

And as we've seen, the longer you're out of it, the harder it is to get back in. We need to fix the holes in the squad (there are rather a lot, 2 keepers, 2 centrebacks, could do with a DM, 3 strikers) and keep our good players. That's a big ask for a team with no CL, and on the edge of failing FFP.

Think we have to assume we won't be in the CL next year, and start making transfer plans for the summer right now. But with our recent transfer record, I can easily see us fucking it up time and again, leading to us being out of the CL for a long time again. Maybe we can strike gold as we did with Suarez, that happens to clubs in 6th/7th once in a blue moon though.

We're improving generally, but our mid/long-term prospects are pretty bleak, especially relative to the trajectory™ we seemed to have last season. We wasted our oppurtunity to become one of the big guns, badly regressed, and now we have to steady the ship before even thinking about getting back to that standard. As to when we'll be back in the CL? Fuck knows, could be next season (need to go balls-out in the EL as well), could be in two seasons, could be in 10 seasons, we could get relegated or dissolved before it happens.

Yeah, the ric clubs will always be successful and the mid-tier ones like Everton will never amount to anything and this is because of this money driven industry have just become a VIP party for those kind of people.

One of the few comforts about supporting Liverpool is that I know we won't be selling anyone to you cunts* :p

If that means missing out on twats like Gabriel fucking Heinze, so be it

*Wonder if that you can put that in a release clause.

I love Sturridge, in my current FM game he has scored 4 hat-tricks in 14 games.

Sorry bruv got to disagree here. Highbury days yes we were brilliant. But today? Hell no. We watch the match like if we're in a theater. Singing the same damn song every damn time. What happened to Highbury fans?! Respect for the away fans

So, what happened here?

TeamTalk said:
Paul Jewell has told Sky Sports News HQ his sudden departure from West Brom was "not by mutual consent".

Jewell left his role as Albion's assistant head coach on Tuesday - just one week after joining Tony Pulis' backroom team.

West Brom announced his exit on their website at the same time as confirming the appointment of long-time Pulis associate Gerry Francis.

Albion's statement said Jewell "decided that he will not be continuing his recent assistance on a more formal basis", but the former Wigan manager says the matter is now in the hands of his lawyers.

Jewell does not plan to make any further comment at this time.

Its all bullshit. MGS2 wasn't as small as that map suggest, and certainly wasn't GZ mush larger than The Tanker level!
The hyperbole in that image is oustanding

MGS 2 was tiny. it was all back tracking.

Why can't they give us a release date ;_;

Perfection takes time, not everything can be rushed out like that game about being born in blood or something.

I like you

Know why that is?

Its because he's fucking boss. Getting reluctantly hyped for his return, since I know he'll get injured again soon, and he won't be able to single-handedly make us as good as I hope.

One thing's for sure though, he blows the other 3 out of the water in every single fucking attribute. Finishing, pace, passing, dribbling, movement, closing down, on the shoulder, dropping deep, touch, working the channels. Even his heading and strength is better than what we've seen from Lambert.

Plus, with Coutinho showing more consistency recently than he has for a long time, he and Sturridge should return to being a boss partnership. Want us to put Henderson back in the middle though. A spine of Henderson, Coutinho, Sterling and Sturridge has the ability, pace and intensity to cause a huge number of problems to most defenses. And that would hopefully allow Markovic and Lallana (and Moreno and Canto a lesser extent) to acclimatise and improve at their own rate.

If Sturridge can hit the ground running and stay fit (not likely), it would take a huge amount of pressure off of the rest of the team.

We've gone all season essentially with no reliable goalscorer from open play.

Bayern have been an important player in Bundesliga for a long time, but these days there's such an enormous difference to the rest, it's just not funny anymore. I get that it's necessary if they want to compete in Champions League, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. 90s and early 00s were a lot more entertaining, not just the league, everything was less streamlined and professional. You had players that said stupid things, instead of all this PR crap these days. I also feel that there used to be more interesting stories back in the day, not just at the top, but also the battle for relegation used to be a lot more interesting (e.g. 99 had a legendary battle for relegation in Bundesliga).

I don't see why you have to dismantle the Bundesliga opposition to compete in the CL.

That spine sounds like it could be one of the best in the EPL indeed!

MGS 2 was back tracking done right!

Can't wait for Bb, not long now. ;_;

of course, it is my favourite game.

Yeah, Bloodborne is looking amazing. I hope I don't fuck it up like I did with Demon. I must have spent 40 hours in different classes not realising that there was a run button or that you could take souls back to nexus. I thought that you could only take them back when you completed a level. My gosh, it was slow and painful. Bought in 09, completed in 14 :(((

Welp. But you're not ManU dude.

We are not Man Utd but we are in a position in which we can easily handle a season without CL. We don't need to sell half the team.

Now, it will obviously also be about who we want to keep after this season. But the only players we are in danger to lose are Gündogan and Reus. For both, the situation would be the same if we played CL next season, though.

Whether we buy foreign players or not, competition is crippled either way. Let's not forget that many important players were brought from foreign clubs. The financial difference is just too enormous. What I meant was that economization of football is necessary to compete in Champions League, not buying players from domestic clubs.

Also it's not as if occasionally buying a German player is the ultimate explanation as to why there's less competition (see e.g. the 80s/90s in Bundesliga). Try competing with a club that has three for five times your revenue, just not possible.
