GZ only had two objectives so you just needed to run in a straight line to complete them. MGS2 involved you running around doing lots of things, so although the area was smaller you had to cover more distance.
As Yurt said, backtracking done right.

Its really hard to judge it tbh
Compared to the likes of Chelsea, City, and theoretically Man Utd its nothing all that great, and we haven't really seen it without Suarez and Gerrard (the latter maybe makes them perform worse rather than better at this stage)
Henderson keeps being moved around, and Sturridge has played 3 games all season (fucking hell)
But they must be a massive pain in the arse to play against when the setup is right. They all try and play at a ridiculous pace, they're all comfortable running with the ball, they all buzz around trying to find space constantly, and they're all very good at short passing and moving.
The trouble is getting them on the ball with enough space to threaten. We've been poor at that this season, better recently, but those first few months we were so, so poor in attack.

It does seem odd though, that they wouldn't be able to afford more coaches. They fired their goalkeeping coach, but haven't replaced him, so that's one more spot that would need to be filled still.
If they're having that much trouble with wages, Pulis won't last long. There must be more to it.
