It was pretty weird, considering that I think Liverpool has to own up to some responsibility for devaluating their own purchase, after putting him in a situation like he had last season.

That said, Palace offering bids with stupid clauses does of course not help.

Their gamble did pay off now, but if not Palace, West Ham or any other club in the PL had been interested, they wouldn't be getting anything near a transfer fee like this. It's not like a club in Italy or Turkey would have handed over any sum like that.


It will be interesting to see what other players that might join us. One more striker is needed, probably a winger, and then maybe a central midfielder also.

I don't see how pushing someone out of the way of where they're trying to go is any different to pulling them away from where they're trying to go.

He was defending Moreno but it definitely sounded like he wanted one.

Klopp explained that he would have signed left-back, but only if the perfect fit could have been found:
