Football Thread |OT10| A Street Ass Named Premier

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
People think this United can knock Madrid out?

They would need to buy a new keeper, LB and two CBs to have a chance.

That's a good win for us considering how poor we were.

Big questions need to be asked over our defence and SAFs selection policy.

Our strikers just needed some chances, albeit a lot of them. Giggs and Evra showed up in that second half. Cleverley kicked up the pace. And Carrick was class.

Now hopefully Valencia gets dropped for the weekend.

Carrick with two assists in the second half.

He's in great form right now.

But he really needs a decent midfield partner. Whether that be Clev, Ando or a new signing. We can't keep pairing him up with Giggs Scholes or Fletch.

FWIW United will need a new midfield signing anyway.

Wasn't an amazing performance, but got the result. Was looking like we'd have the chance to catch up on both of the Manchester clubs, but at least we made up ground on City. I think we can close it to 1 point if we win the game in hand.

Kagawa will gangnam all over Madrid. Dat Dortmund blood.

The defence doesn't help at all either, but outscoring teams is fun.

Madrid has sucked a lot this season too.

About the second half, Carrick was very good. Some sweet passes.

Him and RVP are are starting to build a great partnership. Similar to when he played with Song.

Rooney, Kagawa(still hoping) and Young back next game.

Never start Scholes and Giggs again. Plus don't put Carrick and Scholes together in midfield. Carrick had to run for both of them and it showed how much better the team is with two mobile midfielders when Cleverly came on.

Better team? That's quite relative..
If Man City were definitively a better team than Man United then why could they only win last year on goal difference with the last kick of the game whilst having next to no injuries whilst United had the worst injury list in the entire premier league, and now this year when United have considerably less injuries (still slightly more than City) they're already 7 points clear?

The RVP goal is so frustrating. How did he manage to get that shot through that forest of legs? It's something City can't do this year.

Just woke up. Oh man at the Newcastle result.

You got carried away with how easily you could cut through our non-midfield.

Dat £24m :D

Missed A.Johnsons goal. Mate said Hart should've saved it.
Yeah, he really should have. Shouldn't have even got to that point. Zaba was clearly fouled..like not even remotely close to not being fouled, and it allowed Sunderland to get the ball back in their half. But Hart had to save that shot (which was an excellent one, mind you).

Newcastle, fuck off back down to the championship where you deserve to be. Take that cunt pardew with you

:lol

Barcelona fans can shut their fucking mouths about Newcastle. Equitably distribute the tv money, you filthy scum.

Newcastle are a proper club in a proper league.

Interesting, Friedel signed a 1 yr extension with Spurs. Still hopeful he can win back the #1 but understands that he is at the end of his career and doesn't expect it to automatically go his way.

Nice to see Ake get a minute or two on the pitch. Even if it's only in a very minor capacity, it's nice to see Benitez using players like him and Piazon.
