Yeah the method they use to calculate it is pretty interesting and foolproof if stats are your bag. Ignores things like value to a team though, so Lahm is so low because he doesn't set up as many goals as Rafael does I'd assume or doesn't make as many tackles but obviously Lahm is the better defender and doesn't have to make as many tackles because he plays for a better team.

If you're that way inclined its a good measure of a players quality. But obviously we all have favourites and opinions anyway.
