Gerrard's beard is rubbish

He did a decent impression of Alonso last season, but he's taking it a bit far now :D
That's genuinely the first thing I thought when I watched that orphanage video yesterday.

Looks pants. Leave that shit to senõr Xabi.
Relax, Arnie. The Donetsk guy saying we bid $30m is just a try to get more money from Liverpool. Why would he be in London when he wants to sign for BVB?

I'd say our $30m offer is from some time back and Donetsk already declined. Donetsk wants €30m and Liverpool probably bid less.
I want to believe.

It is strange that he'd be in London if Dortmund were making a bid today, because nobody in the world believes a club just bid for a player without having some contact with their agent. Especially Raiola.

Although it's also strange that Targaryan is in London when he's meant to be negotiating with Liverpool. Fucking Chelsea, man, I'm telling you.
Naughty.

Gods.

Best game I've ever played.

Would you recommend it if I was looking for a knife to plunge into an assailant's kidney?

Fuck, bottle-job

Lol. I have no idea. I have it because I live out in the boonies. So a good knife like that is useful for lots of stuff around the property. Also I live right next to a mountain lion park/reserve and a knife that that makes me feel safer even if i am not :)

Nah, Federer emerged from the scene before Nadal. Most of his support came from his style of play and his success.

He always presented himself as a regular guy who happens to be immense at tennis, but as the years have gone by he's become a snarling, moany bell who always seems vaguely disrespectful of his opponents, and gets jackets premade in the assumption that he'll win

If I recall he was incredibly ungracious with his winner's speech.

From then on I always thought of him as an arrogant prick.

I remember him talking to Roddick as though he was some scrub who could never have dreamed of getting to a Wimbledon final and should have been ecstatic to come so close, and Roddick getting visibly angry because of it.

Roddick is genuinely likable off the court

I'm not usually one for first world problems, but this BBC3 non-HD football coverage is lame. Thankfully I can still spot which Brazilian is which most of the time because most of them have ridiculous haircuts.

You're allowed to be a bit of an egotistical cock when you're the greatest of all time.

He said "I know how it feels, I've been there too".

Which wasn't that bad a thing to say at all...obv. it rings hollow but he was just looking for a nice thing to say. He wasn't rubbing it in his face or anything.

Federer is smug at times and moany too, but he's a competitive sportsman. People tend to set a pretty unnatural standard to judge him by. When you consider his success and standing there is very little you can hold against him.

Don't think it was anything that bad. Worse thing he said was comparing Roddick's situation to his own after the 2008 final defeat. Was rightly called out by Roddick himself as being bullshit due to Fed already having 5 Wimbledons at that point compared to Roddick's 0 but I don't think there was any malice there.

Yeah, he is not the humble champion people used to call him back in the early days of his domination but I don't think he goes out of his way to be a dick either. I don't really see it as a big deal.

Looks like Arsenal's interest in Tin Jedvaj is very real.
‘Roma offered £5million for Tin, but that was rejected,’ confirmed his representative.
‘Milan and Arsenal are both interested though, we expect to hear more from them.’
£7m is a lot for a 17 year old who has made few appearances...

D'you guys think the popularity of women's tennis will see a huge upswing when Serena Williams retires? They're all rubbish aside from her, but it will at least make it more entertaining

I could rape P. Thomas Anderson. 'Nuff said. :p

I actually haven't seen a couple of yours tho, like Garden State from the Scrubs guy.

Garden State is just terrific. But you have to totally forget JD from Scrubs played by Zach Braff. He is way more serious and awesome in Garden State. He wrote the script, directed it and plays the leading part. I just adore that movie.

Nice, I'll check it out then.

You know, I watch these tennis players play 2 hour+ games every two days and wonder why we are happy to accept the excuse of 'tiredness' when footballers play 90 minutes a week.

Tevez is 10

Llorente is 17

We're missing our Nedved 11.
