This is a hard to predict sport homie because it's possibly the one team sport where the lesser team is able to win now and then. That being said, logic dictates that Bayern will STURMPANZERWAGEN the fuck out of Barcelona. They're the much, much better side.
have you ever seen the germans play against Brazeel?

Just hoping they can do it once again.

edit: the 7:0 was due to their CL performance a few years ago, that was two matches though. still hoping they can show the spaniards whats what.

Just by looking at some of the La Masia former players that are now playing across Europe you can already feel the utter stupidity of the people at charge in the club.

-Adama. One of the best players of the Premier League.
-Dani Olmo. Great young talent, today scored the first goal.
-Icardi. Good striker.
-Eric Garcia. Promising CB.
-Thiago Alcantara. Amazing midfielder.
-Bellerin. Really quick and attacking RB.
-Onana. Good GK.
-Grimaldo. Good attacking LB.
-Luis Alberto. Good attacking MF.
-Rafinha. Versatile MF.

Bartra, Keita, Cucurella, Masip, Montoya, Sergi Gomez, Sandro, Munir...

You could have made an amazing team just with La Masia players alone, but most of those players were sold for a tiny amount of money or got out for free.
You need to have space to get them to work though. A bunch of those players were prolly benched to fuck, with more obligations came a new performance.

Not only did I watch but I masturbated throughout that game.
I was effin tanked by half time and the last two goals didn't register. I just had moved to Italy and my TV wasn't hooked up so I watched it with my Albanian neighbours, who are traditionally on the german side. I blew all my Schnaps on this event and I don't regret it.

That game was dangerously close to being 8-0 and shit. I grew up watching poorly coached HUEHUE sides (one even fuckballed their way to the 2002 WC) despite all the talent available, so that game felt like a much necessary rude awakening. Sadly, my glorious countrymen got the message all wrong and it led to an exodus of interest from football to korean MOBAs and bitcoin schemes.

You can loan them instead of selling them or let them walk for free. Like how Madrid has done with Odegaard, Kubo, Ceballos, etc...

And the worst part is that Barça invested so many millions in buying players that were already worse than those La Masia players.

Dang, that's sad. Should'nt be that way, people should be rooting harder for their team, I really thought that would have been achieved by that ludicruous display.

I watch the BBC coverage every 2 weeks or so, the one thing that sticks in my head is the commentator talking about the one goal Brazeel had, 'The germans are furious. And that tells you a lot about them. The germans are absolutely livid they let one in.'

Not a lot of money to be made if they aren't established players. And as Spain knows, we have football schools too.

That's why a loan is the best option, you let those players establish themselves outside and then they return or they are sold for much more money.
I am not sure if Bayern would go for that option, having an incredibly good player that fits the team be a wildcard at the whim of some other team does not work for a team that should be fearless to take on any opponent. Unnecessary noise.

btw, I am watching Roberto Carlos' videos as I had to explain to a child which football player I most identify as
what a legend:

You don't loan those youngsters to big teams, you loan them to small teams in which they can play and make a name for themselves.

By the way, Bayern has Coutinho on loan from Barça.

I don't mind it, as long as you keep your 'we might need to replace this guy at some point'-count low. If you too many players like that you are in a bit of a trifle.

But Barca is known for its youngling program, of course you can sell/give those players to an established team. Not sure how often that happens but I do feel like Bayern is doing a lot to make those people fill the roles they are designated to excel in.

We had a slight uptick in patriotism during the last World Cup qualifiers, but it didn't last long once it was clear the team was still playing checkers. And they're not even going Boris level chess players like Klopp or Pep, most national teams are only decent. We're currently not at that level, despite the talent available.

It'll come back. As long as you don't have embarassing characters like Maradona and Suarez I'm fine with it. Football powerhouse and all such. Imagine winning a WC against U21 and/or certifiable scum.

FC Bayern, Stern des Südens!

You have a very solid team this year and are the favorites to win the UCL this season so all is good for Bayern this year :messenger_beaming:
but why would a Bayern supporter cheer on a redbull team? Atlético hatred that strong? :messenger_astonished:

Bayern is going to absolutely DEMOLISH Barcelona tomorrow.

And yet somehow I feel like this post will age poorly.

They are the favorites but I don't thing there will more than 2 goals difference :pie_thinking:

you go, girl!

edit: gonna be another 7:0

Will you be disappointed if it was less?

This happens to all the big clubs, look at Real Madrid youth around Europe or Bayern or Manchester City or Valencia (RIP) and so on
The thing is all those are good for mid-table or a little above mid-table and could help greatly in a transition period that's it. I don't blame Barcelona for selling them because they are not top talent that can set the world on fire which is what Barcelona (and the other big clubs) demand but I understand your frustration because Barcelona basically entering a transition period and those kinds of players help during it.
You should feel bad about losing Kubo to us though :messenger_beaming:

He wouldn't of been able to cash out as it wasn't an online bet it was done in betting shop

Thank you for the clarification Prison Mike Prison Mike

Still traumatized from pep Bayern era? :messenger_beaming:

Perez learned his craft as a president and is a legend at this point :messenger_beaming:

Of course not, a win is a win is a win.
Would be funny though.

edit:

German team and a solid effort from them.

Yes but cheating the 50+1 rules by Redbull...etc :pie_thinking:

Honestly my friend I'm a bit apprehensive through 30 years of supporting man City they have a way to let me down lol.

But Manchester City is way better than Lyon and in a solid form and riding on a high after knocking us out of the competition. Yes Lyon are riding high after knocking out Juventus too but still Manchester City for sure have the advantage. It is possible you choke and bottle it but I don't feel it will happen :pie_thinking:

I work hard to ignore this kind of stuff. Every team would take the money if offered, no team ever works without money. I dislike the 'hardcore' fans that shit on new-money teams and forget that their team collects a ton of money from every source possible, including them.
The people vs Hoffenheim, Gazprom-Schalke etc pp

We have some regional teams (Oberliga, 5th division) here that floundered real hard when their patronage went away and players moved to different teams.
Friends are getting 200€ bonuses for scoring a goal and other amounts for winning the match, team placement in the league and other stuff.

Yes teams will take money anyway they could and you mentioned a few but I think the other teams taking money and the big money teams usually get their money while following the leagues rules, RedBull did cheat the rules which is why many treat them differently than the others.

I just read up on that and I couldn't give a toss.
Happy that East Germany has a solid club in the Bundesliga.

That is fine, I was just explaining why RedBull is treated more harshly than the other clubs. The east side will produce another solid club sooner or later I think.

That was in no way intended to be a dig at you, even though it might have sounded that way :)

Could say the same about yesterday's teams and we saw that outcome

While wearing a mask? you will use a straw? :pie_thinking:
You need a mask to get to your table, you can take it off once you sit down.

edit: I bet I could drink through my mask though... filtered beer. Not advisable but would look funny af.

What about when the guy/gal that bring your orders get close? you wear it again until they go far again? :pie_thinking:
You blush, and when they say 'enjoy your drink', you say 'you too!'.

They are obligated to wear a mask when serving, you don't have to put it on once you are seated. My guess is that while seated you are at a different height level to the server and it doesn't matter as much.
I have startet speaking away from them, as in slightly turning my head while maintaining eye contact.

Dugarr... I mean... Griezmann is on the bench.

Now we have options.
