Fortnite Chapter 3 Gameplay Leaked - Receives a huge UE5 Upgrade

Best place I've seen so far is the lumberyard in the north. It has a massive metal roof.

I'm dropping there in 10 seconds! Review incoming. Thanks for the suggestion!

Edit: Review...

I was scanning the map for a couple of hours looking for a solid metal spot. Thanks!

It's good so far. Like the new gimmicks. Wish they kept in crafting though. Mid season is when I normally get burned out though.

I was doing the daily quests in solo, trying to get the damage a player with a vehicle and some guy got in the back of the truck I was driving. driving around while he was shooting others. It was quite amusing. I did manage to win my first game of the season, so I got something I didn't look too closely at. It is overwhelming not being familiar with a new map after all the time of the old one.

Love the new rifle with the first-person scope and the sniper rifle. The storm moves way too fast and my biggest gripe is that the map looks extremely bland/ugly. The last season's map had a camping vibe to it which made it far comfier.

The new rifle that goes first person is soooo OP

No way in hell that it stays that way. Its way too precise, and shoots way too fast.

Loving the new island, tho it looks too overstuffed sometimes, making it harder to spot enemies. Snow also doesnt help with visibility.

Also loved the slide mechanics. Looks and feels great.

Not being able to shake downed enemies is also great. Keeps things more chaotic.

Will be a great season

it's obvious you're only in here to stir shit
Honestly - no. I have my prejudices and sometimes exaggerate them, but not to hurt anyone or take the fun out of the game. Rather with a wink.
but i'll answer you. it's a Battle Royale. 100 players drop into a map. storm gradually narrows the playing area. last one standing wins. simple.

it's free to play and as you level up you get free items. if you want you can buy Vbucks with real money which is the in game currency. You can buy a Battle Pass which offers a premium tier of levels and you get better rewards. outside the levelling rewards there is a store you can buy things with Vbucks. these are mostly special/timed items. Some of the recent ones I bought were Jinx (League of Legends), Master Chief (Halo), Harley Quinn (Batman). The game has its own characters but it does a lot of cross overs. If there is a popular movie/game out then it's possible Fortnite will do a crossover. Sometimes it will be a famous person (Ariana Grande, Neymar, Lebron James, etc). There's star wars stuff, tomb raider, halo, marvel, league of legends, spiderman, football (soccer) stuff, etc, etc. There are also in game events like concerts. The last one was Ariana Grande but there was a Travis Scott (eww) and Marshmello one.

the game is split into chapters and seasons. we were on Chapter 2 Season 8 (Season #18) but Chapter 3 Season 1 (Season #19) is about to start. Each season there is a new theme with some story/lore to go with it and the map gets refreshed often.

Solo isn't the only Battle Royale mode. you can do Duos or Squads to team up with others. There LTM modes with add twists to the usual gameplay. Outside Battle Royale you have Save The World and Creative. Creative is exactly what it sounds like...build your own maps and stuff. Save The World is what the game was originally going to be and is a tower defense co-op game. You explore maps doing quests/challenges and building forts to hold off waves of attacks.
In fact, I've always seen the game in a bad light because of the look and some of the Twitch footage, which is probably extreme examples of the hyper, loud and hectic community. So thanks for the little insight. At least now I have a better picture of the game.I've never really gotten into Fortnite, and I'm not going to. But I'm not going to tell people what they can and can't play and enjoy.

Yeah that Mark 7 AR is so good, like almost no reason to use anything else.

I also got a couple quick easy solo wins early Sunday. I feel like they almost certainly do have some kind of system where your first few games have a lot of bots so you win and feel good and buy that battle pass.

Idk why this is an unpopular opinion, but Fortnite always looked quite good at high settings.
I don't know, it's mostly the style that gives it a bad rap among some people. I don't like it, but for the graphics they chose they were sharp and well done considering the scale imo as well.

I don't think I'm in love with the new map.

It feels like they've reduced wide open vistas and added trees everywhere so all the areas feel the same. Now most of the map feels like a little self contained section. This was better...

I miss the spots that felt like you had real strategic advantage if you got to them.

Enjoying that the shotgun isn't as strong and can use SMG even at medium range. Plus the new mx7 AR is so fun to use.

Maps great. Weird but cool having to learn a new one. But even at a couple of days in I think its better then chapter 2.

Second day into Fortnite: Chapter 3...
Battlepass already pretty much done and loving it so far! :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

Wtf how you lvl up so fast?

How you ask? Well, it's because I am the ultimate undefeatable Fortnite warrior...a true master of every skill, every weapon, and every conceivable tactic. I can read an opponent's mind and know how to overcome all odds.

I am, in a word....invincible.

Well...either that, or I'm a complete idiot when it comes to money.

OK I thought maybe there was a trick I was missing or something.

I haven't played this since season 3 and it's a lot different now. I've been top 10 regularly and knocking off quests I could chase and I'm almost lvl 15.

Have 1750 vbucks on my account from back when save the world gave them away but don't want to spend then until I know I'm going to stick with it to get black spidey

I make sure to do all the daily and season quests I can, and sometimes focus all in on various milestone quests. Last season I harvested an insane amount of cabbages from the orchard area. Right now after getting a few Victory Royales I'm focusing on the IMPOSTERS mode; each game is relatively quick and I can get a consistent 8000 to 10,000 XP. :)

Some of these feel line they fuck up map flow, like build 40 things at crazy condos. I just farm mats and pit up walls everywhere until it completes.

Right now I have most of the challenges done, so even last game I got a victory royal and only 5000 xp.

Hardly seems worth it, I'm not going out of my way for milestones yet, just taking what comes naturally, and haven't really tried building much, but always carry Firefly jars with me if I find them for that 1 annoying fucker who is crazy good at building.

I laugh when they realize they can't build themselves into oblivion forever, as that's what turned me off when I started playing.

Fire bomb the shack and stay far enough back that AR or SMG avoids the shotgun.

Those Firefly jars made me a veritable pyromaniac the last couple of seasons. I can't tell you how many times I nearly burned down the entire forest trying to smoke out opponents. :lollipop_grinning_sweat:

99% sure it's all bots. I'm almost 7 straight wins in
I quit playing soon after they introduced bots.

Sure, it does feel somewhat good to get some kills in on bots, but to me it felt hollow quickly. I really don't like doing well or winning when I feel that I don't deserve it.

The frozen buildings in the near middle of map are reported to be Tilted Towers. I'll continue my long tradition of landing at the edge of map and rotating inwards with the storm watching my back. 😂

Me and my duo got cremated dropping there last night. It's constantly filled with players and we suck. It was great in solos when I first dropped there.

Let me know if you find any other metal spots (preferably less hot).

If you were a StW founder it never stopped giving out free Vbucks. Every day you can get minimum of 50 for daily quests (can stack 3 at a time), plus they still have free Vbuck missions that cycle. Some days may be 0 vbuck missions, but same days may be 3 or 4. Plus the log in bonuses every 7 days still pay out, and the upgrading homebase missions. I got bored of Chapter 2 near the end and stuck to just free Vbuck missions here and there. I think I was up to about 8k in free vbucks before a new chapter spending spree.

There's so much going on for Fortnite that I wish it had a PvE/coop/GTA Online mode. Mechanics are great, the map is so well realized and this loop lore/story is intriguing at least.

A more slow-paced mission/exploration driven mode would be tons of fun.

I was unaware of this. Thanks for the heads up.

I heard a YouTuber talk about how they think Creative is going to be big this season.
