Fair enough. I'm just starting it now and doing benchmarks to see where I'm at . Being that I played the hell out of FH5 since launch and pretty much every week since I've owned it even if it's a $120 map pack it's worth it for me as no other arcade racer comes close to.
That said for AMD GPU owners... UPDATE YOUR DRIVERS. I went from 55fps to 85fps on a RX9070 at 4k native all extreme without RT on the canned benchmark.

Oh boy, I'm torn, I'm still in the refund window.
For the progression, don't purchase the Premium, you'll get all the cars you'll ever need without using money so if you care for a good progression, I would say "wait for standard". But even then, you got loyalty cars (for some reason, I don't have the FH2 one but I got all others), it's up to you if you want to break the progression or not. I'll try to stick to not use the gifted cars unless it's just for roaming, at least for a while otherwise it will be like FH5 and I'll use my Centurio all over the place.
The good:
Visuals (I got ~90 fps with default setting - Extreme - on my 4070 at 4K120, it's stellar on my C5 77")
Japan soundtrack (I heard of one Anime track right from the start)
The meh:
Woke sloppiness (it almost feel they make every character unappealing)
Double achievements popups if you got it on Steam (can't believe they didn't notice that) - Gamebar seems mandatory
The progression, as mentionned earlier, if you care for that, don't forget that you'll get 17 cars ootb (several legendaries)
Stutters when changing zones and changing some camera angles
The ugly:
Crash right after running the benchmark
MS Game Service slop mandatory on Windows but totally playable without it on Steam Deck...
Warning on the Low Memory after 30 minutes (memory leak I guess?)
I'm not sure what I will do, 184$ CAD is a lot of money for a 4 days premium access but I did plan to purchase it on day 1 and it's a 3-days weekend in here. I'm not short on money but I feel it's a bit too much, I just hope that if I keep it, the DLCs will worth it.

Bro, it's the 6th game on the franchise that is based around a music festival that brings people from all over the world to celebrate car culture and music as well as a beautiful country. It's made by British people and the vibe is a British themed festival that travels the world.
That explains it all.
I've already had, what I find as a genuine JDM fan amazing moments like driving the first ever Honda civic then driving the newed model. Explaining the production of cars. JDM cars and checking out beautiful places in Japan.
If you don't know what Forza horizon 6 is by now then I dunno.
I'm all for wanting cool things and games but expecting some huge shift in an established fan base is the flaw of the player not the game.
If you don't like it for the various flaws it clearly has, then I can understand that but it does sound like you are just trying to find faults a little bit now. That's all.
It's an amazing game to me. Like the best FH since I can remember, but I guess it will still not be enough for some and that's fine. Just play something else maybe. Tokyo extreme racer perhaps?

So because the games have been pretty much a carbon copy of each last game starting with Horizon 3 (which was awesome btw), they can't really add or chance anything fun or meaningful in the presentation department?
Why cant I expect them to let me skip the cringe ass cutscenes? How is that a flaw of the player?
The driving is awesome, the map is awesome. I never said it's not!
Play something else? Why would I? The game is cool. I am just saying TO ME, it's lacking in presentation and Japanese vibes in it's presentation.
It just doesn't lean into Japanese car culture enough for my taste.

Yeah and that doesn't make it better. It should be a Car Themed festival that travels the world. And the theme and vibe should fit where it takes place. So that means to me that no I dont want a britain lady each time, I dont want british cringe mfks talking to me with unskippable cringe ass dialogue.
Also thats going a bit far but I dont see anywhere in the lore it was ever supposed to be a British Themed Festival as the first one takes place in Colorado and it didn't get to England until the fourth game.

Good to see the steam reviews are improving. Went from 50 percent to 70 odd positive so it looks like the majority of people are enjoying it.

we dont need super realistic trafic, its just game in the end, but maybe system with a lot of trafic that still is creating gaps in it for player to utilize, as a gameplay mechanic, idk i think it would be a lot of fun.
