Sorry guys might have been asked before but whats this talk about doing drift mode/hot laps in the demo? how do i do that

For Drift "mode" simply tap left on the d-pad while driving to show the drifting hud.

For hot laps, after you select a car and are on the track selection screen, hit the Y button to go to the leaderboards, then either hit A right there or scroll to any of the top 100 people and hit A on them to race their ghost.

Does anyone know what kind of power cord the Microsoft Wireless Racing wheel uses.. I seem to have lost mine.

Input: 100v - 240v ~ 50-60Hz
48-62VA 0.80A

Output: 24V 1.0A

dunno if that helped

It's not actually trolling if you don't admit it
BTW, those of you that I have spoken to about early copies and green discs, now is the time to email me. :D

Has the Season mode been explained and how it is related to the career mode? Or is this the first time it has been mentioned?

Ah, season play = calendar mode = single-player career. Sorry, different nomenclature saying the same thing. It's basically a nice dynamic path through the 220 event sandbox based on your preferences such as the car you're currently in and the cars in your garage.

Awesome, thanks for clearing that up.

Season play is also optional since you can always access the events matrix and pick and choose to complete the 220 events in your own fashion.

So I would not need to complete previous challenges, (and by challenges I refer to completing the previous race circuits requiring a certain level and or certain car type) to participate in any of the events? Ex. Forza 2

If I were on a somewhat tight budget (like $150 max), which 360 wheel would be the best for Forza (and potentially PGR4)?

Sorry, I'm going to assume this topic has beaten to death and back, but I just want some impressions from people regarding the various wheels.

So which Fanatec wheel is worth getting? I read the features and stuff but I'm still confused - the "Clubsport" editions seem painfully expensive.
If you're serious about racing games and plan on using a wheel for 360, PS3, and PC games, it's pretty much your only option. It's pricey because it's entering into PC sim market territory - not too expensive in comparison to some of the high-end PC equipment out there, but definitely high-end for the console market. Fanatec's wheels are actually competitively priced, considering the Logitech G27 is also around the $300-$350 range. It's only if you go for the high-end clubsport pedals does it get really expensive as those are $200 by itself.

Because I loved the 962 driving in FM2 :) Especially on the nurb.

no no it wasn't personally aimed at you. It's just I wondered what was so special about the 962. Didn't mean to offend you

I hope m0dus and Jube3 are getting a copy, their livery art on Forza 2 was amazing.

Can't wait for the game.

If you don't want to take the plunge with Fanatec, MS wheel actually works really well with Forza 3. I never really like playing PGR4 with MS wheel so ...

But MS wheel is pretty much your only option. I think it's a solid wheel with good FFB, and I see them at my local Wal-mart for around $80.00.

How much are cars in the DLC, speaking from experience with Forza 2? Do tracks get offered as well?

Yeah FM2 had Road America and Motegi for dlc and 3 car packs or roughly 10 cars. I suppose they'll increase that, but nothing is sure. The German Fact sheet (10 a month) seemed to be faulty.

My DLC wish list:
1995 to 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX

Doesn't look like it made the cut from 2 to 3 :(

1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse is in the new list!

Jeez, Che, you sure do work your magic quickly! :D

My car made the cut! Where do I send the check?

Ooooh, not only that, but my favorite car to upgrade, the Lancia Delta made it! That car was nearly untouchable when I upgraded it. I hope the list is accurate!

So the season mode is flexible enough to model itself around your current car and cars you own? So if you want to have the career experience without having to drive uber cars, you can?

That is truly awesome.

Like they said season mode picks out three events: one for the car you're driving right now, one for a new track, one for a different car.

The 220ish events stay the same. The Season Play thing just structures it nicely around what you want to drive, and where.

It does mean, probably (not sure), that if you stick within a certain class or a certain car that by the end of season 6 and maybe completion you'll still have several events left in the calendar, those which didn't appease you.

Awesome, finally I can drive through a career in a racing game without having to drive crap I don't want to and insane spuercars which go so fast they aren't fun.

+1 pre-order. Hell, I'll even get the "limited" edition because I love that feature so much and want to say thanks.

Kind of disappointed this car (the Porsche 356) still isn't in Forza:

Either the coupe or the speedster would have done. Such a beautiful car. A 550 spider would have been nice as well.

Apart from that, the game is awesome though. The handling feels even better than in Forza 2, something I had not expected to be possible.

It's not like my 06 but I'll still take an 05 STI :D
The last two games have used the Japanese models which are a year ahead of North America, so the 05 STi in the game should be the 06 STi from NA.

Question: is the 360 wheel worth getting for this game? And will it work OK sitting on a couch? I have no experience with a gaming wheel at all but I want to get the best experience form F3.

i just ordered the fanatec rennsport stand. i decided to get this over the wheel stand pro because of its stability. eventually i want to get the obutto cockpit and sell the fanatec, but that will have to wait till i buy my first house (no room for storage).

cant wait to try it out with shift and of course f3. i'm sure it will be loads better then racing with the wheel and my belt ;)
