Can't wait to see some of the new liveries, I've been having a muck about making the Daytona Hornet which came out really well, trouble is I never know what I can and can't show.

Still it was good chatting to Dan and going into detail on beard growth :D and I hope to have some video's I'm allowed to show shortly where you can all see my n00bish driving.

You can paint over these cars now so you can definitely recreate it :D

I lack the talent to do so.. :p

I'm guessing the Gulf livery and classic Lotus John Player Special livery will be the first two up there, so I'll leave them to be made by the professionals. :D

I don't know if this has been posted, but there is now a option to get the Fanatec Turbo S wheel delivered directly from the chinese factory by UPS or Fedex express to your door.

$150?!

I guess if you've spent a ton of money on the wheel, $150 shipping is small change. :lol

Man those wheels are sick, I've seen so many wheels that will be go to rims. In F2 I had like 2-3 I always ended up sticking with.

Wow, I'm shocked at what ended up on Disk 2...considering that for some it's not an option. Among the things I find most startling:

-Fujimi Kaido
-Nurburgring Nordschleife
-2000GT
-Impreza 22B STi
-Savanna RX-7
-CLK55 AMG Coupe
-Cerbera Speed 12
-Stratos HF Stradale
-CC8S
-Cobra 427 S/C
-Mustang GT
-GTO

Yay! I just bought a wheel! Waiting for it to get delivered sometime next week! Excited!

So... Top 1% with controller is something special eh? With no assists plus manual? Hmm... that makes me feel good! Actually come to think if it... I havn't raced with any assists at all in the demo :O

I reckon Che should give out gift cars for those people... since top 1% is apparently too huge :p

its called selling HDDs ;)

1.9gig install is better then I worried about, I had a feeling it would be below the regular sizes but was still expecting 2-3GB, and yes my 20gig cries but MS are not getting my notes for an overpriced hdd.

Also LOL at sticking the two most wanted racing tracks in the forza world onto disc 2, yeah MS are really trying to shift those over over OVER priced HDD's :lol

Not to mention the 22b, GTO etc... :lol :lol :lol

I feel less bad about dropping the LE again now, starting to feel like a fool here with what's going on with forza 3.

1.9GB? I was expecting a lot more than that to be honest.

*hugs 60gb hdd*

Will we be getting extra tracks as DLC, or will it be limited to car packs only?

i suspect forcing you to install the longer tracks also has something to do with the fact they need a lot of streaming.
2 gb sounds good, i have 2x 20 gb hdd's one of which is completely empty, i never felt the need of a larger hdd, i only download a few demos which stay there until the full game is out if i like them, or a couple of minutes if i don't...
i'll probably end up using the empty hdd to install the second disk and the game disk itself, since i'll be spending lots of time with my fm3 :)

I know the HDDs are overpriced and so on but I will never regret buying the 120 GB one.

Nowadays you can build your own 120GB HDD for just $50 (the price of a WD hdd). You just need to flash the drive, and then put it on your old HDD enclosure.

oh thank god. i can free up that space on my original 20, but not much more. (i suppose i had better figure out how to get more space for the inevitable dlc -458 car pack)

disgusting, canceling pre-order cuz i don't have enough space on my 20gb. I have about 2 gb which is enough but after that can't download shit. Sorry Turn 10, but this is bullshit. Now i'm gonna go cry.

I'm hoping load times are better than they were in the demo.

the worst of it was load screens in the menu. that shit sucks. i dont car what your UI looks like, as long as its fast and responsive

I wonder if Che could clear up whether those Forza infomercials in between car/track selection with game information were a demo only phenomenon or whether they will be present in the full game as well.

The game is going straight onto my hard drive, so hopefully it's been optimized for those installing it.

Assuming that you are talking about the manufacturer logo that pops up after selecting your car, you can skip right past it and select the default color of the car by just hitting A.

In the full game, I don't think you will be selecting your car color every time. The car paint color will be selected when you buy the car.

The color selection may show up in the arcade mode.

Who cares about car colour when your in the cockpit? (Plus you won't need to choose the colour once you've bought the car, insta-skip screen)

I wonder if the full game will save your preferred difficulty setting as well, gets annoying having to specify driving aids/AI difficulty everytime.

Forza 2 does that so I can't see why 3 wouldn't.

Very true, just so used to playing the demo now I can't imagine the full game being different! :lol

Which is silly, as the options in the demo are as barebones as you can get. God knows what joys we will be treated to going from arcade/career/online UI.

Ordinarily, I'd be concerned about even a ~2 GB install, since I was down to not much more than that on my old 20 GB HDD. I just picked up a new Elite, though, so space is no longer an issue.

Seeing the Nordschliefe on disk 2 as an optional install was rather surprising. I figured that would have been one of the tracks that was guaranteed to have been on the main disk. Same with Kaido. Actually, the only tracks I was expecting on disk 2 were the two test track environments, but whatever.

Since we've seen that the 'Ring has its own events in career mode, HDD-less players will obviously be unable to race them. Does this mean that future DLC tracks and cars will become integrated into single-player this time? That would go a long ways toward extending the life of the game.

If you want to play on a forza 2 save which was started up with DLC installed, remember you will need to download it all again before you can play your save.
