Maybe... should we get like 8 more people, then go for 2 time-frames per weekend? Or force people to go for the rivals option? I'd be ok either way.

How do the rival rankings work anyway, I mean how does a lap time transfer to F1-style points?

It's been a great week of forza for me but damn the fast tier cars are a nightmare for pad controls and no assists, to the point where the fun was zapped out and I have to use TCS and knock the robotic AI down a peg.

Nearly done with the main stuff first pass, only done a few events.

The game starts at 3pm eastern... So say 5pm eastern (10bst) for a second? Up to the organisers I know, and it's a pain. But match is so big and my DTV recorder is out of action. :'(

Apparently I am bad at reading. Was trying to finish a race before the lobby went up-- and then there was no invite. A week early. Glad I spent all my level 11 credits building C500 race cars for today.

Speaking of the race though, the Group 5 showcase at Watkins Glen was pretty fantastic.

that's where you have to rethink, try to make a car that'll do decent aross the whole league, not just rio.

I've been trying to get into this game, but every time I really start to settle in my controller disconnects. It'll happen maybe once an hour, maybe a little more, maybe a little less, but it'll happen and I can't imagine playing online with such a crutch.

I've updated my controller's firmware and it still happens. Got a second controller and updated it and it still happens. Its sapping my will to dedicate any time to the game when I have alternatives that don't error me out in the middle of races.

Is this a problem for anybody else here? Have you guys found workarounds?

I think Soundscream already addressed this. I would love to be wrong, but going by Forza 5 turnouts lots of people say they want in. Not as many show up on the day of. Even fewer people show up regularly over the course of the season.

I was under the impression you could tune per race, just not take advantage of the drivetrain glitch, the statement was more akin to turning up in a Mazda week 1, a Ford week 2 etc etc you are committed to the car, but as with any racing the package can be adjusted to the characteristics of each event.

I think the time trials should be locked to the car you race, as I'm not sure that has been mentioned.

that has got to be a hardware issue.

you torquing the gamepad whilst turning, so that the battery looses connection and the controller dies. i really doubt any software update is going to fix that.

I say that because i personally havent had my controller disconnect on me.

engine swaps are fine, the only nono is fiddling with the drivetrain.

I have mentioned this before but in my case each time it was happening for a couple of days I changed out the batteries. I have been using eneloop since Day One and I literally bought new ones Each time it happened and it worked for a long time. Knock wood

that sucks, i'd personally assume that it's either a hardware issue with the controller, or overwhelming wireless activity in your location that causes it

My day one controller disconnects, the additional controller I brought doesn't, tried the battery pack from the additional in the day one, it still disconnects.

yea it's so weird. for me Every time I put a certain set of batteries in it disconnected... put the other set in? no problem.

If your on your fourth, that sounds like wireless interference. Definitely. If you've got an Android phone you can download an app which measures noise on wifi frequencies. The pads work on the 2.4Ghz range using ad-hoc WiFi.

The first one had a loud, smoking power supply. The second one powered off a few days after I picked it up and just never turned back on. I've had my current one for a good while now, and the only issues are the controller disconnects and master chief collection causing all kinds of graphical corruption on the dash after playing.

The reason I'm considering interference is because I also have the rare issue on my dual shock 4s where its like somebody else is taking control for a few seconds. Hasn't happened for a while though, and may have been related to my Surface Pro 3's Bluetooth - which I disabled.

Between an Xbox One, a PS4, wireless controllers for both, a (shielded) wireless router (though most things here are wired), a Surface Pro 3 and docking station, an iPhone, a Verizon signal booster and a Kindle (in airplanemode) all in the same room, it wouldn't surprise me to find out that something here isn't playing nice with something else.

I suppose it could also be the intrinsic field that makes up my physical form ...

So the Civic was the first car I've driven in this game where cockpit view was unusable. The interior simply takes too much of the screen estate. Most cars are fine though, even the Lambos despite them being terrible in DriveClub due to how narrow the windscreen is.

Something you can drive comfortably. Consistency and control are key to putting down multiple fast laps while everyone is busy shit-talking, and the fuckers that host the lobbies disable the rewind button to boot.

I don't know how you could go into public lobbies. I swore off of doing it years ago after just having people just try to murder me when passing them (pre crudediatribe bless his heart). The risk reward is just to high for me.

Did you just do it? There is a delay for things like achievements from game to hub and vice versa. Cash is the only thing it does fast, which makes sense since that's where the priority should be.
