Did my first Rivals on Alps Festival E class. Managed to get 27th in the world.

But there is only 5 thousand lap times on the track so I guess it doesn't count.

Did the Sebring 300 this morning took 3hrs, then after lunch i did the Indy 200 just over 1hr & i have just finished the Nordschleife 125 just over 1hr.

Going to have a go at the Daytona 300 next i think.

I'm all for money exploits in games with grind-y single player economies but that looks like a lot of work. I could make as much money just playing the game.

I'm exaggerating lol

Yeah fucking up a save is so bad on Xbox One because you don't have a backup in the cloud at all times available...oh wait.

Article on US Gamer covering the Drivetars and the weather in 6.

I still need to play the game too. Was going to sign up for the League but I've yet to play 6 so I feel like I would be a waste of a spot. I will get some time in finally this week (didn't buy the car pass and VIP for nothing) and then report back if there is a spot available.

Sorry if this has been mentioned, I'm playing with a TX wheel and sometimes I'll run a race and everything will be fine. I load into another event and my controls have changed. Shift up moves to B instead of the paddle. But the in-game settings are still correct. Anyone else run into this

What did I do? I haven't played in a couple days, so it's not behaviour. My Gamertag is BigOilersFan...so there's nothing offensive about it unless you're a Flames fan. I have one poorly done (so far) Oilers logo as a vinyl group...

Edit - I can join races. What am I banned from? This is so confusing.

A 'fanny' is a lady's front bottom in the UK so maybe an ex-pat at MS is also myopic.

I found what I've been banned from - buying cars. I don't understand why though, I don't even have much of a collection yet.

Bans typically result from offering profanity/other content that is against the rules on the marketplace. You might not be able to buy cars because by default it tries to load designs for those cars which you can't do anymore?

Patch day! DLC day! Hoping for some much needed options to the career and free play mode (stock option for career and class choice for free play), and I really want to see what new cars they add that have never been in a Forza game before.

Nobody knows till we get release notes, but I could swear that the AI has become easier in the last few days, maybe they've tweaked some drivatar algorithm on the back end?

I actually had one session before that where I won 3 races in a row pretty easily. Seems completely random.

My FM6 is haunted guys.

A random white trans am is stuck on repeat.

Can't be crashed into, but every time I come around to the S/F line it's starts to take off for a lap. about half way around, it disappears only to appear at the start again, taking off again.

Hold me.

I did 2 of the shorter ones...gonna do the catalunya and road atlanta next then work up to the longer ones. I only have 9 events to complete showcase (7 endurance, 1 top gear and 1 vs stig) I still can't beat the jaguar bowling one in top gear, though. I need to get that one finished to unlock 1 more vs stig event



edit- Ran my first set of multiplayer races. First was bernese alps and it was a damn clean race...everyone stayed off of each other until they had opportunities to pass. Second was nurburgring (night) and it was more or less a demolition derby. Most people were blatantly crashing others, right from the start. I finally got past most of them to finish 9th out of like 22 people after sliding back to 21st when I got wrecked... Had to run most of the race with a busted windshield which was annoying. Near the end of the race as I got closer and closer to the front, the racing was a lot cleaner. I had one guy pass me when I took a turn too wide and then I had to follow him for a bit until I could get by clean. Will probably give it another go today

The latest content update for Forza Motorsport 6 has arrived! In addition to the Logitech G Car Pack, this update includes some notable improvements to Forza 6 and addresses some well-known issues in the game. This content update includes improvements to game features, updates and corrections to a number of cars and tracks in the game, as well as a brand new car – the 2015 Infiniti Q60 – available to all Forza 6 players at no additional charge.
In short, there’s a lot happening with today’s update and, below, we break it all down for you. Read on for the details!

Cars

· Corrected the engine sounds for the 2016 Ford Shelby GT350
· Corrected issues with all of the V8 Supercars in the game, so that each car uses the correct engine sounds.
· Improved the cockpit camera positioning for a number of cars in the game, including the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4, 1971 Plymouth Cuda 426 and the 1970 Ford Escort RS1600 Fast & Furious edition, among others
· We have addressed an issue with drivetrain swaps that was causing some cars (including well-known examples such as the 1968 Abarth 595 esseesse, the 1965 MINI Cooper S, and the 1975 FIAT X1/9), to perform beyond their PI classification. To coincide with this fix, we are performing a wipe of all leaderboard times set with a car that used a drivetrain swap. We expect the leaderboard wipe will happen Tuesday (10/6) afternoon. With this content update in place, cars that were previously banned from multiplayer will now be allowed back in. In addition times set in cars that feature drivetrain swaps will be allowed to post times to leaderboards.
· Numerous additional car improvements and corrections

Track Updates

· ROAD ATLANTA: Removed an “invisible dip” that was appearing in the drift loop section of the track
· MONZA: Fixed a bug that allowed players to gain an unfair advantage at the Ascari Chicane
· TOP GEAR: Corrected several areas that were incorrectly “dirtying” players’ lap times

Drivatars

· We continue to investigate issues involving inconsistency in Drivatar behaviors during Forza Motorsport 6 races; namely several Drivatars pulling away from the rest of the pack. To coincide with this content update, we have instituted a server-side fix that we believe will help the issue as we continue to investigate further. Stay tuned for more in the future.
· Fixed an issue where Drivatars were not taking damage when the player was driving with simulated damage turned on

Livery Tune/Import

· Fixed an issue where players could not import liveries from Forza Motorsport 5 that used certain characters, including the lower case “a” character
· Corrected an issue where players’ saved tunes could not be applied to a car unless it was applied immediately after downloading it. With this fix, saved tunes can now be applied to cars at any point
· Addressed an issue where downloaded tunes were missing front suspension settings.

Achievements

· We have corrected issues with the “World Traveler” achievement, which should now work as expected

Pitting/Rewind

· Fixed an issue where only a maximum of 2 AI cars could enter the pits at any time
· Pitting will now fix headlight damage when simulation damage is turned on
· Fixed an issue with rewind, where players could not rewind when AI cars were in the pits. With this fix, players will now be able to rewind, even when AI cars are pitted

Mods

· Using Boost Mods in a Career or Free Play race will now “dirty” your lap
· Fixed an issue where Crew Mods modifiers would only work on the unique track specified on the card. Now Crew Mods modifiers will work as intended, with a general indicated performance increase on all tracks, and a specialized increase on the specified track
· Fixed an issue where players would get the exact same Mods pack upon starting the game with a new profile
· Power-related Mods are now applying the correct amount of additional power to all cars
· Fixed an issue with the “Cockpit Camera/No HUD” Mod, whereby the HUD would reappear after doing a few practice laps.

Multiplayer

· Better League result reporting after each race, points earned displayed and access to the League Leaderboards in the Lobby
· Added ability to order the grid by the previous best lap in Multiplayer. This change will be rolled out in the more competitive lobbies first
· Some multiplayer hoppers will now allow the starting grid to roll off by row in order to help with the congestion in the first and second corners

Miscellaneous

· Prizes from Tombola spins will now be gifted to the correct player in splitscreen races
· Fixed an issue with the mini map and the player location arrow when playing in Tag mode
· Fixed an issue in Free Play where changing the assists in the pre-race menu would reset the Drivatar difficulty level
· Changed Total Time in the “My Drivatar” menu to appear into days:minutes:seconds format
· Fixed an issue where telemetry shows no data when viewing a replay directly after a race has finished
· Fixed an issue where Drift scores report incorrectly, resulting in different leaderboards for different players
· Fixed an issue where headlights would turn off and then on again after rewinding in a race
· Fixed an issue where controller dead zones were resetting after completing a race
· Fixed an issue with control mapping when a player has both a controller and a wheel connected to the Xbox One when starting Forza 6

So nothing in the patch allowing us to create more themed single races, real shame.

Very disappointed this wasn't addresses or the option to not have to upgrade to the max PI allowed in career.

Car pack does look nice though, but the limo is honestly a waste of space as funny as it might be.
 
I thought they would either pull a stunt where there is one car in the car pack that you can't pass out on like the La Ferrari in FM5 and you can't buy as a single car, OR a car pack that is full of high-end racing cars that would attract people who didn't get 10 million+ from forza rewards and are low on in-game money for the 5th career season for which you need expensive race cars. It would have been a "hey, now you can buy yourself into the late career with real-world money".

But no, this is a really well balanced car pack.

On the patch-notes:
- Awesome that they fixed some in-car FOVs. Wasn't holding my breath for that.
- Weird that they didn't fix the invisible wall at the curb of turn 2 at lime rock park, but fixed other tracks, of which I haven't heard any issues with so far.
- I haven't lost hope for changes to free-play options yet. Turn 10 was probably busy with higher priority things post-launch so far.


Side-note:
My TX wheel made some weird noises yesterday and today amazon told me I had to wait another 2 months for my 599xx alcantara wheel add-on that was supposed to arrive today. Well maybe better than have it arrive and have a broken wheel right then.

I knew it! playing last week and seeing an AI car take a good whack into another car yet drive on at full speed with a crumpled front end felt wrong, I guess this fixes that.
 
I don't know how you guys can hate on the limo. Y'all lack imagination. A 24-car GAF limo race would be amazing.

This is cool, though. Thought it was intended behavior based on FM5.

But makes me wonder why we're limited to five Drivatars per player in mp. Thought that was the reason.
 
I kind of wish the mods were rebalanced a bit, 12% grip + 5% power is an OP card and I got it about two days in to playing, that and -7% weight +8% brake are too good.

And then there's using dare cards which give little bonuse for the challenge they give, no rewind sim damage is 50% but when you race for 10 minutes that's about 6k of bonus, hardly anything when spins and other rewards throw tens of thousands as you.

The mod card balance feels off to me.
