I pretty much opened my laptop and started browsing NeoGAF and Xtube/redtube. There were a few jokes but the subject material is just too abrasive to be funny

I didn't find much humor in it either. However, at least they opened the door for .... murder? as a future plot again?

... I don't know. Its been crap after crap tonight.

I don't know. Allen Gregory and Family Guy were both pretty bad, but Allen's character was just SO abrasive and annoying that I think that's what made me dislike it more.

I'm sad to say I didn't laugh once I was hoping that maybe all the hate for the more recent episodes was just nostalgia for the older ones or something, but this was honestly the worst treehouse of horrors I've ever seen. Makes me sad.

I liked it too. The first handful of minutes was a little rough, but as the episode went on, I liked it more. To each his own, as they say.

Nobody that still watches & enjoys the current seasons of The Simpsons had any expectation of tonight's being any good.

If you want to actually give the show a chance when it has a decent possibility of being good, watch it again in two weeks. (I'm not holding out much hope for next week's, either.)

Don't recall them being just parodies "skits". Well I remember a twilight and harry potter one, but those tend to be more halloween themed.
