Thank God. I still really do still get laughs from the Simpsons, and they don't need to make black joke after black joke or have a baby drag in a a whore or something while talking about about how much crack they just had for humor. They aim for clever over shock, and I appreciate that, even if it's hit or miss sometimes. I enjoy my fair share of Family Guy humor (although lately it's been moreso American Dad than FG) but we don't need the whole Fox Block dominated by it.

Last Sunday's ep had a good solid plot that didn't veer into the insane or embarrassingly unfunny (unlike the premiere). And even though it ended in yet another Springfield elementary hostage scene, it was entertaining, funny and a welcome contrast to the FG CS AD three-way we have now. To see it disappear would be saddening, not just because of the end of an era, but because of loss of humor that doesn't use shock as a crutch.

It's still got some life left in it.

This was a nice little Milhouse gag that flashed by kind of quickly.

Maybe I'm overly defending it, but something has to balance out hyperbole GAF's lust for blood on this show.

Thank god I'm not the only one who thinks this way. Though I dislike all of McFarlanes shows. The Simpsons is the only show I watch on AD, besides Bob's Burgers (but that's not on at the moment). There's still some gems out there, for example The Bob Next Door was brilliant.

Baseball's so annoying. Who seriously is still entertained by it's slow 9+ inning, most-likely a million rain delays crap?

Many millions of people, apparently.

I mean, not me, but still. You can't deny it's popularity even if you don't understand it.

There won't be any new shows until the 30th due to Baseball. It's like this every year.
We may get Animation Domination this Sunday if the ALCS doesn't go to 7 games (Detroit is already down 2-0) but, if we do, it'll just be reruns.

Which is a pittance compared to the NFL, Basketball, some network TV, etc.

It's on its way coming in November(IIRC) the 2nd season was also expanded to 22 episodes.

Damn. I was hoping it would be gone. I'd take reruns of KotH or even the tuuuuurrrible Cleveland Show over the official show of trying too hard.

Allen Gregory needs to die a horrible death.

When will Fox learn unless it's by Loren Bouchard, or Seth or the progeny Groening, cartoons on Fox will implode.

At least it's character driven humor in Bob's Burgers.

Anyone read the article where MacFarlane said he wants to end FG soon and start work on a new live action Trek show?

I'd support this 100%, as much as I love FG, a new Trek in the vein of TNG/DS9 done by someone like him who is such a fan could be pretty amazing.

Bob's Burgers was awesome, glad to see it getting 22 eps. But there was a slight feeling in the first season of "trying to hard," which is understandable. I think season two will be amazing though, they don't have to try so hard since they have a full season and all the characters are already set up.

So this is the second Sunday in a row that I've tuned in to watch my animation and it's like two solid hours of X-Factor.

What's up, Fox?
Playoff baseball is what's up. Yesterday's programming block was reserved in case the ALCS needed a 7th game so no new shows were scheduled. X-Factor was pre-empted last Thursday so they slotted it in last night to give it airtime.

World Series this Sunday. Animation Domination returns on October 30th.

Will 10/30 be the Treehouse of Horror episode?
Haven't had one of those so close to Halloween in a while.

Glad you guys have finally came to the realisation that TCS is complete garbage. I said this in the first season and I was flamed.

Can't wait for Bobs Burgers to come back. Amazing show.

Also, anybody know why American Dad isn't on hulu yet?

I still like cleveland show

Booo, hopefully it gets cancelled quickly. Needs to have my AD.

Me too, it's perfectly fine. And I like that they try all sorts of different shit.

Treehouse of Horror tonight. They tend to still be good. I hope "Dial D for Diddly" is good. Spoof on Dexter...better be good or I'll be disappoint.

no american dad or bobs burgers tonight :( thanks a lot Allen Gregory, show looks awful
When does BB come back? Late fall? Never heard of Allen Gregory 'till now.
Fake edit: Just watched the trailer. Holy crap that looks worse then FG, and FG is awful beyond belief.

I heard Bobs Burgers was supposed to come back this week, but this is obviously not the case. I have not seen anything of allen gregory until now, but I already dont like it, because I want more AD and BB instead of a new show that everyone is hating

Bobs Burgers simply tries too hard. That's all. It makes alright background noise while surfing GAF though.

No, no. It is clever and has so much subtle humor going on, that you obviously dont catch, if you dont pay attention or in other words have it on as background noise.

I hate it when Fox starts their cartoon sunday season right during NFL Season. "Advertises Animation Domination is back, doesn't show a new episode for two weeks".

Also I can't believe we aren't getting American Dad tonight. Fucking Allen Gregory looks terrible. Why the hell did The Cleveland Show get to stay?
