I wonder if they even think before they talk. Seriously. My country is third world, and they don't say this kind of crap in the news.
 
I would not be opposed to marriage with multiple people. Marriage is a silly concept to me in the first place. The thing with gay marriage is that it gives gay people the same rights straight people have, which is the core of the issue: Equality.
 
I for one support dogs' right to marry.

Dogs can talk or sign documents. Kids can't consent. Stop using these damn slippery slope arguments. We're talking about an agreement between fully grown human beings.
 
The government really should just stop with tracking marriages. Just have some sort of "are you living together with the intention for life" status and stop caring if they are married or whatever. It doesn't really matter.
 
It is not the slippery slope argument that bothers me...it is the fact that people will make an argument that someone can't have equality by saying that it is a step towards something as sick as marriage to a dog. They are saying that gay marriage is closer in scale to bestiality than a marriage between a man and woman. That is disgusting, evil, hate-filled thinking. Fuck them.

This is exactly the intention. To paint gay marriage as a precipitous step down the ladder of deviancy.
 
I thought that incest (gay or non reproducing) was the current go to argument along the slippery slope, rather than bestiality.
 
I can see the argument that it opens the door to legal bigamy, harems and what-not. Then you get the whole town or church that 'gets married' for a tax advantage.

But this is stupid. Dogs are sluts.

Couldn't it be argued the other way? Clearly, the allowance of heterosexual marriage has lead to the allowance to homosexual marriage, which will of course lead to bestiality. So if our goal is to prevent bestislity, we need to ban all marriage because any form of marriage will lead to bestial marriage.

Problem solved.
 
I remember seeing an episode of a talk show he had about fetishes and how he linked them to "childhood traumas" and wrote off anything he simply could not understand. I facepalmed repeatedly. Now I find out he's on fox news ..... seems about right. Had myself a lol.
 
Just go and say it Fox, this all started when we let whites and blacks marry. It was inevitable that suddenly other loving consenting adults wanted to marry. Soon we'll want to marry between species consent or not because that is so totally the same shit. Then comes the singularity, skynet, robots being sent back in time to kill humanity. Oh Abe Lincoln what have you wrought.

This is why I have no concerns about this years midterms or 2016. As long as D candidates can stay within striking distance, the inevitable backlash to things Republicans actually say will put them over the top.

That's actually natural. For people to get batshit insane they usually need to have a high level of comfort in their lives and society. In poor countries people are to busy trying to survive and feed themselves to have time for going insane.
 
Well he's right, but it shouldn't be a negative thing. People should be able to marry anybody or anything they want. If there love is true in their eyes, the government has no right to dictate weather or not people can marry not two, not three, not four, five guys or girls or elephants or a bicycle
