if sx runs these games at 1080p, series s would have to get to 540p which is undesirableHonestly kinda shocked by how many 120fps games the Xbox Series S has so far. Shame Battlefront 2 doesn't support it.
Yeah basically they are trick the virtual machine to run at double the speed. (easy principe), every game on Xbox is it's own virtual machine.
Oh absolutely : )So does it but extra strain on the GPU or not?

fps boost is cool but developer patches are more effective. imagine; overwatch, warzone and such easily runs 900p-1080p 120 fps with this console
if ea were to make a 120 fps patch, series s would easily run battlefront 2 900p-1080p 120 fps. instead we get the same result on series x..
If you check the list, you'll see that some of the games have fps boost disabled by default, this is because it lowers the resolution; what that resolution is we don't know however.Fps boost works in weird ways. We get same resolution, fps graphics settings etc in Fallout 4 between both consoles. It's 1080p 60hz.
I'm not sure Jim Ryan has an account here, at least not openly."Who cares about old games?" incoming.
I have heard a case of a guy that playing sea of thieves at 60 with series x gived him motion sickness..ever happened to someone?First time I saw a game at 120+fps

My man! Welcome to the club!Okay, the stalling has gone on long enough. It's time to pull out the big boy. Because I have this habit where I like to clean and re-organize everything before setting up new electronics, I never did setup this bad boy I got before launch. Today is the day... Goodbye last TCL in the house.

My man! Welcome to the club!
Dear Microsoft, please return your efforts to resolution boosts please. I don't care about 120 fps if it's at 720-900P. 1440P-4K @ 60 is more important for older titles
Oh my gawddd!! I've had the XE9305 for like 4 years and never realized I could run it in 120hz! Just played Unravel 2 and Ori and the Will of the Wisps at 120fps!It does support 120hz at 1080p,

FPS Boost is a Microsoft thing.
As others had said, FPS boost is a Microsoft thing. For PS5, it would require dev work.PS5 getting this too?
More 120Hz patches ... well ... now Sony, patch the damn X900h to not show a blurry mess in 120Hz mode.
But I really hope that more 60fps patches are incoming.
That's nice.
Titanfall2 in 120fps must be

Titanfall 2 and Battlefront II at 120fps!

They made it a bit better, but it will never be a true 4k 120. The chipset just can't handle that much data. It's a chipset limitation not a firmware one.
some games have low resolution when activating the fps mode
do this trick to bypass it

It needs it. Tried to play it on Series X a couple weeks ago and it looks like shit on a 4k monitor. Don't want to go and play it on my PC because I have nothing unlocked :/I want a res increase for Battlefield 4!
Give us an FOV slider next!
Please do this so much! I can't fucking play that game in 720p anymoreI want a res increase for Battlefield 4!
On console? I haven't played any of those so I wouldn't have known.Battlefield 5 has one I'm pretty sure... Titanfall 2 has one as well... as does Mirror's Edge Catalyst... you gotta specify your games here lol
Yes great games have an expiration time of one year after release, after that they become irrelevantThis is great for those that still play these games.
