I just recently got this game for Christmas, and I noticed it has quite a bit of slowdown during most of the game. I've watched the Xbox version for quite a bit before, and didn't notice too much slowdown, at least not to this extent. Is this normal? Has everyone experienced this? Or do I have a defective game? It's not so bad that it makes it a bad game.. but it does detract somewhat from the overall experience, because the players move quite jerky at times, especially during a speed boost.

there is nothing wrong with your copy, the ps2 can't handle the game as well as xbox. infact, i believe the graphics engine was really "optimized" for xbox this year. i noticed a huge difference going from ps2 ESPN NFL to xbox. it really is like night and day (sadly for ps2 owners).

still playable, just try not to watch people play the xbox version and you'll be fine

Yeah, I figured there wasn't a problem, just wanted to make sure. Thanks for clearing that up. Still a good game though..
