Franchises and IPs that will never return but fan keep asking for.

Ape escape
Lost Odyssey
Klonoa
Tomba
Jet Set Radio
Crazy Taxi
Skies of Arcadia

I'd happily buy a HD ports of the games, or remakes.

I'm pretty sure Dino Crisis will come back in some shape or form eventually as Capcom had a lot of success with their remakes so far.

@ topic: Syphon Filter and Jak & Daxter. Not sure there is market for a Syphon Filter any more and iirc ND has said multiple times that they do not want to resurrect J&D.

I love most of these Series/ IP; but I don't think any would do that well in today's market. First most of them would be made by people half your age; with different sense and sense abilities.

probably Legend of Dragoon but I won't give up hope
That was the first thing that popped into my head. I'd also go with:
  • shadow hearts
  • rhapsody
  • jade cocoon( I think this one is mostly just me)
  • mega man legends
I really want a new mega man legends game but I just don't think Capcom will actually put down that much money for a mega man game. I also think wild arms is dead.

Radiata Stories, Suikoden, Shadow Hearts, Breath of Fire, Siren, Zone of the Enders, Front Mission, Way of the Samurai, Tenchu, Shinobido, Castlevania...

Command and Conquer like Red Alert 2, and more recently Dishonored, i would say a normal Half Life, vr doesn't count, ohh yeah and a new TES and GTA lol.

I still want to see the parallel universe where the rights to Legacy of Kain werent stolen from Silicon Knights.

I don't think star Fox is gone. They have had one almost every gen. Last one was on the wiiu and the remake for 3ds. We will see it again.

Not one that's being dormant, but very different from what it was, that i'd like to see returning: classic style Need For Speed.

Bully…rockstar coulda put a smaller team on bully 2 given its smaller scope than GTA and RDR… but noooooo let's update GTA5 for 10 years.

In this consolidation era who know what future acquisition will be and what licence they will raise from the grave

For me personally: Earthbound and Startropics.

Also, there's no way we aren't seeing Bloodborne ever again.

I guess the FPS series Alien Vs Predator is never coming back, so add that series to the list.

I would love a modern adventure/action game with the Space Quest IP written by Roberta Williams but adapted to include some janitorial technician action. Nothing like the King's Quest adaptation we got a few years ago.

You mentioned F-Zero and Chrono.
I would add Golden Axe, Shinobi, Eartworm Jim, Metal Slug, Samurai Shodown, Rolling Thunder, Kid Icarus, R-Type...

Pluss most of Konami IPs.
