I was thinking that maybe it's the way humans evolved? Since they don't need to exert themselves as much, they just remain short. I mean the sinners, when is one classified a sinner? At birth? When they get to a certain age? Or do all the kids born to a sinner become sinners, and citizen kids become citizens?

I have so many questions that I'd love to get answers to, I just love this world aha!

Was playing around in coop and just did the special mission with the 3 robot panthers, 2 robot spiders, and 2 whatever the hell Oltatum is. It was pretty much a Who's Who of terrible boss mechanics. Managed to barely get the last abductor down and completed the mission with 3 seconds remaining. As annoying as the mission was, I'm pretty happy with having completed it.

So, does synthetic generator and Will O Engine is randomized upon death or there is a limb that I can focus fire on?

From what I understand, the Synthetic Generator is a random drop when you kill an all purpose abductor, and the Will O Engine is a random drop whenever you break the pod. I had to farm Will O Engine: All Purpose Mk 3 and Mk 4, and I went and broke the pods on all purpose bipeds for it.

I did that the other day, and two people got disconnected right before the last 2 abductors... We failed (time ran out) with the last guy at about 1-2% health.

Break the pod, I already thought about that because Will O Engine of Artilery dropped when their pod is broken. But I swear All Purpose Abductor never dropped, makes me kinda doubt it.

what issues

Besides the random ass upgrading and modify system. The wait times are really annoying (It was fine during the story stuff ) but when I want to do another mission I have wait or use a weak ass weapon drives me mad.

I failed two missions today because I ran out of time.

It's the pod, however I don't think I've managed to get a Will'O Engine Mk 4 from a normal All-Purpose Biped. I *have* gotten them from the elemental versions, though. 8-1 is where I go when I need Mk 4 ones as, after getting to the elemental ones, the lightning one can respawn twice meaning you can kill five elemental bipeds in the mission. Kill either fire or ice to get it down to two then focus on the lightning.

I kill the ice one first and leave fire's shields so the AI doesn't do much to him while I take out the lightning three times.

How can you tell if it's a special operation from the room list... Is it always 2 letters and then 3 numbers?

If it's a basic mission, it'll have the CODE and mission number like 8-3.

If it's a Retribution mission like you get randomly after clearing missions, it'll be numbered 1xx

Accessory rescues are 2xx, I believe

The daily special ones that you can claim are numbered 3xx

Edit: Dammit I did it again lol. I need to start transplanting the quote into the message first instead of typing my post then cutting since I keep forgetting x.x

why dont you use citizens or have it upgraded well before doing missions... you don't even have to play it, just put the vita in sleep.

its not the games fault if you failed the missions.

Ah, got it. I just did a retribution mission online. Didn't catch the number, but it was the highest difficulty. Figured it would count for the special missions trophy, but I suppose not. I'll look out for 3xx ones.

Retributions should count as specials. As should 3XX ones and possibly Accessory rescue ones but not sure on that.

All three of those are counted under the Special mission category and have to be claimed beforehand.

I finished the entire story solo and I just started doing missions online (I had only playyed PVP before) and missions are so much more fun with other people. I really wish I had started sooner because it's seriously the most fun I've had with the game.

Yep this game is most def designed to be played with others more than just soloing. Since when you solo the only real way to go is having an efficient build. Where as in a party much more leeway to do what you want since you have other humans backing you up.

Farming Retributions for Ruined Cables, first imagine two Ramosa that spend their days flying through the air together:

Then imagine Paradoxa stacked on top of each other forever:

Did the Code 6 exam today, then did it again online.

For spiders, bringing an autocannon and blasting away from a distance seems to work pretty well.

Destroying their "head" makes them shed all their leg armor. And their pod is fairly weak and a huge target. If you can dish out damage to the pod fast enough, you can keep it stun-locked no problem. Yay Barbaras!

For me the "Volunteer of the Year" trophy popped before the special missions were introduced the other day, so I'm pretty only the DO: ??#-# missions count for this
(the last one being DO: XX8-5)

Picked this up at Best Buy for $25, no idea GCU gave a discount on it, nice surprise.

This is pretty damn good game with a lot of depth to it. I really like the general idea behind it, the mechanics, and the story so far. If anyone is looking for a good new VITA title it is easily worth the full retail price and then some.

Question of the Con choices people have made. Is there any benefit to going with one of the bigger ones? I am east coast USA, but can't live with picking NY, so I decided to go with either London or Amsterdam. Went with Amsterdam because by surname is dutch, It is currently them middle of the pack in rankings. Looking at London it is top 10 and has a seriously larger number of contributing members. Is there a good reason I'd want to change to London, or any other bigger Con?

Think I'm going to have to cheese this final boss. Redoing everything over and over again is getting boring, and I got it down to maybe 3% there before dying. The chains are infuriatingly obnoxious.

Are you
destroying the things on his back or are you trying to deal with all chains at once?

That's the discretionary missions trophy. Special missions are different I think. All the 3xx ones and potentially the retribution and accessory recovery missions, but I'm not sure on that.

I got advice earlier in the thread which I've employed,
breaking off the boxes in a certain order, dragging the chains
etc and it's still not stopping the chains. I can't seem to even
get half way through a single box before a wave gets set on me
. It gets better once a few boxes are gone but but that point I have 1 sustainability left.

I spent a while before this upgrading mine and my accessories damage too, but I still feel like I'm doing next to nothing. Just want to kill it by this point.

It really is disheartening to get the boss down to a sliver only to have all the chains revive and immediately kill you. I had that happen multiple times. I assume you know that
they cannot enter the entrance area
?

It's not a huge help because most of their attacks still work, but at least you won't get perpetually knocked down by their rushing attack.

The issue is always that you need more damage. I was getting crushed by the boss repeatedly until I spent some time crafting and upgrading a good Caliburn and Barbara's, and now the special requests that seemed impossible before are just a bit tough.

Yeah, I know about the entrance thing Nd that's how i was gonna cheese it. I ended up using it a little bit to avoid the chains (it also showed me the hilariously lengthy time they will keep chasing you for) and managed to kill the boss fairly easily.

I definitely need to get new weapons. I thought my Ea's Knife would be decent enough but severing still takes ages.

got to Code 3 or something and I feel like I have spent more time reading text than playing the game. Will this game have more focus on hunting on big boss later on?

Code 2 has a ton of walking around talking to people. Code 3 onwards has less of that, and a lot more operations being funnelled to you. You're past the worst of it anyway.

The game drags a bit during Code 2 and 3 so yes, it gets better. There will be less story later on and the story passages will go by quicker because you (will) have quick travel.

Hey guys, I may have a problem:

I'm from Germany, have an EU copy but my primary Vita Account is US. Does this cause any trouble regarding online play? I can't access the DLC which sucks but I can deal with it as long as I can still participate in online sessions.

There is no online pass so you should be fine.

You are right, thanks! ;) I've just checked the online functions.

Btw are there any philosophy students playing this game? All these references to consequencialist theories really bring a big smile to my face, it is just funny to see these theories in motion via a fictional setting. Cool stuff, absolutely love it. Especially the dialogue with all this 'the common good yadda yadda'

So whats? the general consesus for this game? Yay, Nay? Any huge issues with it? 10/10 must buy? 8.8 kinda good?
Considering taking the dip but I'm hesitant.

I like it a lot. The story is dumb and unfinished, but I really enjoy the actual gameplay.

The crafting system is also pretty dumb and you have to game it (and/or get really lucky) to get anything good.

Still, I can make a nice-looking character and chop giant robotic spiders into pieces, and I guess that goes a long way for me.

There aren't really any huge downside besides drag parts in story and few here there you might find but the gameplay is pretty fun to play and overall is a great game.

It's $30 also.

As far as the crafting system goes, it's really not that bad x.x It *was* but now that you can pay to remove modules, it can be controlled to a decent extent. Getting the initial weapon is the part where luck comes into play now. Elements and modules(up to 7/8 on a rarity 8) can be controlled. And 8 out of 12 modules isn't bad lol, especially when the most important are the two Power Up ones since that's like a 50% damage boost.

Edit: My biggest gripes with the game would be the story(which I mostly liked until the end, minus the pacing) and the postgame feels kind of stale quickly. The gameplay is decent enough to keep me coming back, though.

Want to platinum it, too, just two trophies to go I think.

Okay one more question: Whats the combat like? Is there a good variety of weapons? Is there a nice combo system? Is it more on the fast paced or slower past side?
