I'll preface this with -
I haven't even played in about 36 hours either, I logged in today to see if my XP from 15+ hours of play was ever given back to me. It wasn't. So yeah I no-lifed it all weekend.
I sort of want to get some stuff off my chest of what I think is wrong with this game.
The big one - Grab.
-It's range is absurd. Shifting (his 3) and grabbing out of a shift is cheesy and the least fun way to die in a game that I've played in quite a while. If you're really unlucky it's possible for Jason to Morph at the start of a game (his 1) and literally land on top of you and grab you within seconds of the game starting and end your life. I get it, Jason is supposed to be OP, that's fine. This game is casual and not competitive, that's fine. Do you think casuals will stick around though if they die 15 seconds in to the game and then have to watch people for 20 minutes or they get nothing in return?

Griefing
-Of course this will happen in any game like this but it's next level in F13. PKing your teammates, friends ghosting with the killer and telling everyone's location. Friends farming with Jason until the 20min timer runs out (you only get XP for doing 1 action of each, there is no point in farming). Another one would be say you and a friend got the propeller and gas for the boat. You better hope no one hears or knows you're up to this. I've had a few games now where someone will stand in front of the driver or passenger side of the boat to not let you or your friend on, even though you both just did the work to get the parts. This inevitably leads to everyone dying. I've also had many teammates set traps at windows, so when you're running from Jason you go through a window and get trapped. Fun game.
-Having to wait the entire game to get Bonus XP for watching the match to completion. This is bad design. I don't want to die in 30 seconds and watch a game unfold for 20min. Most of the time the team is full of people that don't have a clue as to what's going on so you spend your time watching people crouch in the woods. I could look past cheap deaths if I could leave the game after I was dead. Or maybe having to wait until Tommy had arrived on the scene and if I wasn't Tommy, I could dip and get my XP.
Other odd design decisions:
I'd say about 75% of my matches are people not communicating. Therefore, I have no idea who has what. Say 2 people bounce on the boat in 5 min of the game starting. Another person has the keys to the car and the fuse. They get killed in the woods and you have no clue where their body is.
You now have no way to escape. I really do wonder how often this happens. I'm assuming a lot. I feel like there should be a dead body indicator on your map if you have one. And it's not just keys and a fuse. Maybe a person died in the woods or some other random spot with the battery. And then another person died in the lake swimming with the gas. This shit just means you won't be escaping and worst of all, you don't even know. You still hunt around for 10-20min until death trying to find a needle that basically can't be found.
Another thing, there is no payoff for keeping Jason busy while your team fixes things or jacks off doing w/e. I've seen my buddy keep Jason busy for an entire 15 minutes but end up dying. 650xp. Basically nothing while others escaped. I feel like that's not a fair design choice. Having Jason do certain actions should reward XP if he does them towards you, like breaking a door down that you're in.
About XP. Wtf is this? 5 points for barricading a door? You get that once per game. If they want to do the 1 action = 1 reward of XP and that's final thing, there should be more XP being thrown out. Set a trap for 5 points. Barricade a door for 5 points. That's a joke and a half. No wonder I have to barricade already looted houses, no one gives a shit about 5 points of XP.
I'm sure I can think of some other things. I probably come off as 'salty' blah blah blah, I'm over people saying that until the end of time. It doesn't affect me at all. A few of these are just things I've discussed with a buddy of mine who has about the same hours played. I really feel like this is a private match sort of game. Public matches with randoms is usually not a good experience.
I will say the matchmaking is great on PC, it finds matches way faster than most games I've played this year. Unfortunate that other platforms didn't get the same deal.
