I hope someone can help me out. I want to use a microphone to talk to people, but I do not want one that goes over my head. I hate those big headsets. I have Apple EarPods with the microphone. Can I use that? Ideally I'd want to plug the microphone into the Razr Chroma keyboard I have. I don't need sound to come through the headphones, I just want to be able to speak to others. Do I need any adapters or anything? I think I tried before and it never was recognized on my pc as a microphone.

Pretty sure you need an adapter for the Apple EarPods to function as microphone. Try it out?

I gave up after 25mins of searching for session earlier. I will re-try tomorrow or see if a few GAFers are up for a PS4 round that accept noobs / playing the game for the first time (although I know the objectives from having watched quite a few streams).

If your on ps4 put a game in here or find one. I never play multiplayer or chat often. The GAF rooms I've been in on are very welcoming and just a good community to play with. Hit me up on ps4 xxRONN1Nxx. I play when I can usually several short burst through out the day.

I think so too, but for some reason they aren't even being recognized in the headphone port either. Either way, I think an adapter would be needed for it to function. Thanks.

is it true that you can't choose to play as Jason and is based on a random selection?...that sucks in a way, as I would love to play as Jason more...with Evolve you were able to choose to play as Monster and most people still preferred playing as the Hunters...I would think the same would apply here

The host of a private match can select anyone to be Jason, if that helps. In quick match Jason is selected at random, but as mentioned above there is a setting for your preference ( favour Jason / neutral / favour counsellors) - I think it's in the Customise menu.

Agreed. There's one person I play with all the time. Neither of us are very good but it's much more fun to team up trying to get the car/boat going than it is being Jason.

The other way around, I only want to play as Jason. Unless I'm missing something the character movement of the counselors is deeply irritating. You walk at a snail's pace if you are not running and using up stamina

They really need a patch now considering there is a glitch where people can camp under the bridge in Crystal Lake and Jason can't grab them.

I just had 4 people do that to me as Jason.

What the best perk everyone has seen so far?

I got a rare 'rested" perk which lets me regain stamina 13% faster when standing still or crouching with 1% overall speed penalty

The next best one i have is a uncommon "psychic" perk which starts me with a walkie and has 10% increased vocal radius and no penalty at all

The best one that I have lowers damage done by 35%, the best one that I know of is the one that lowers the response time from calling the cops from 5 minutes to 3.

My PSN is Jerrod if anybody wants to add me. Not having much luck finding games tonight on PS4 and when I do it has mostly been with counselors teaming up with Jason or team killing because they didn't get Jason.

I can't believe that matchmaking is still broken. How do you release an online game that doesn't have matchmaking...for at least nine days after launch?

You're a tiny team and think it's a good idea to do a triple platform release. I wonder what forced them to make that decision instead of focusing and releasing on PC months back.

Hardly matters when most Jasons these days immediately trap the phone fuse box.

so it's the same as Evolve where you would set your preference from 1-5 and the game will do its best to match you accordingly based on what other players choose...sounds good...do most people want to play as Jason?...in Evolve most players wanted to play as Hunters (which also caused people to drop out if they didn't get the player they wanted)...maybe because most people don't like playing solo in a 4v1 asymmetrical game

From my experience so far most people want to be Jason however many aren't upset to play as a counsellor. I haven't really seen anyone drop out of a game because they weren't Jason although that might also be because I'm only playing private matches (because quick match is garbage at the moment) and everyone is chatting having fun.
You don't set preference quite like Evolve with the 1-5, you just choose to be either Jason or a counsellor.
You can choose which Jason you'd like to be and which counsellor you'd like to be inside a game lobby.

They helped make my choice easier to not buy this game yet since matchmaking is still borked to hell.

The irony, is the game I wound up buying has similar borked matchmaking in Tekken 7 xD

but I really want to buy this :( Pls fix

I just tried playing as one of the Jasons who can't run.... never again. I was chasing a counsellor for a good 5 mins before they slipped up by trying to hide.
