What the hell is going on?
When last we left, William Bell sacrificed himself to help the Fringe team cross back over from the alternate universe, but our Olivia is trapped in the parallel universe at the mercy of "Walternate" while the Alt-Olivia has crossed over to our reality unbeknownst to Walter and Peter. What is Walternate's endgame? When will Olivia escape? When will Walter and Peter figure out that the Olivia that crossed over with them is not the Olivia they know and love?

UPDATE: This post is accurate as of the beginning of season 3. No wibbly wobbly timey wimey-ness of the finale affects the timeline of this post. Perhaps some other universe or timeline created as of 9:58 EST on May 6th, 2011 has a different OP with certain things no longer existing.

Thank you for the praise. This is the first season I have done OP for shows. I planned on a custom art banner, but this past week has been so damn busy at work I just dont feel like working on it when I get home.

I will do my best to keep the thread updated and lively. (Just like Cornballer does in the Chuck threads)

they are going to alternate universes with episodes. One episode here. The next episode over there. Rinse. Repeat. According to Entertainment Weekly, we are going to see Olivia teamed with Alt Broyles and Alt Charlie solving Fringe mysteries over there

And as for the official season 3 poster, notice the Observer on the balcony?

This is my favorite show still airing. Looking forward to getting the S2 DVD tomorrow. Need to finish rewatching the last three eps of S1 tonight though (maybe leave one for tomorrow). Can't wait for Season 3!!! So excited. Great OP.

Also, along with the observer in the S3 poster they have some glyphs hidden around. Well not really hidden maybe but they're in there.

Can't wait. Probably my favorite show on the air now Lost and 24 are gone.

There was an awesome promo trailer Fox showed during one of the football games this week I can't seem to find. Looks amazing.

Yeah, the side boob pic is nice, but didn't think of the pose being like that until you said it. I like the one of her against the window covering her chest with her hands.

Same here. The only overlaps for me now are Chuck and House on Mondays, and Community and Big Bang Theory on Thursdays. Otherwise there are no overlapping shows, unlike last year.

Cannot wait. Second half of S2 was this-shit-is-bananas awesome. This will nicely fill the LOST void.

One nitpick though, PB: the pic you've chosen is the S2 promo pic. Why not swap it for the S3 one (which someone else has posted on this page)? Otherwise, great OP!

Hopefully this season they can break that boring ass middle section thing they've got going on. Two seasons in a row of a great opening, strong ending and tons of bullshit in between.

Yes... man this is one of my favorite shows of all time. Thursday can't come soon enough!! I'm gonna make sure to watch it live instead of hulu this season. Got to show some support.

You probably show more support watching it on Hulu, actually. Unless you're in a Nielson household.

I wanted a wide banner instead of a tall one. I still need to find the time to finish the one I was making, but work has been wearing me out.

As for all the ratings talk, I am curious how it performs this year.

The show took a huge hit in overall numbers last season, but actually held steady in the brutal Thursday 9pm slot. Fox was so happy that they had a show that could hold steady there they decided to keep it.

Bring back the monster-of-the-week episodes. The alternate reality stuff really slowed the series down imo.

While I dont mind the monster of the week stuff, the alternate reality stuff is where the show really took off and got all kinds of crazy and awesome.
