From (2022 TV series)

On the last episode of the 1st season. Really enjoy it. Some of it is pretty cheesy (tent scene especially) but I like it. Not reading spoilers so I hope shit gets resolved in this.

Necro bump. Wanted to say season 3 is back on and Boyd is still consistently the best part of the series outside of the mystery aspect.
Fucking YESSSS!! been waiting for some good telly finally!! Loved this show

The latest episode ending was OOF is all I'm saying
Please.. please don't tell me it's gone to shit writing or something utterly shit.. C'mon, don't do this

It's the one show I liked..

I punched out about halfway through s1 when it seemed clear the show wasnt about fighting the demon things or even trying to escape, but more about "human drama" with all the weird rules and family issues. My mystery box tolerance was very low at the time.

Have they gotten more proactive in subsequent seasons and started actually planning and testing their environment?

I have to get back into season 3 but enjoyed it so far.

I just hope they have an overall story Arc planned & not just making it up as they go.

I heard some "Lost" people are involved in this.

Fool me once... 😁

This season is the best one so far, feels like they upped the CGI budget as well

Jack Bender who directed some of LOSTs episodes is a director on many on here as well

I watch it as a comedy

It's cheesy, full of horror clichés (ghosts, zombies/vampires, witches, spiders, crows, cursed music box, cursed dolls, dead children, insects, scary kids drawings... I'm waiting for evil clowns). People acting totally irrationally instead of talking to each other. Wooden acting (Tabitha, Victor). Every time they introduce an extra, you know they'll die the same episode

With Lost you could at least try looking for semi-scientific explanations; here's it's all about magical artifacts and magical creatures

Wayward Pines was better

Kristi has the worst hairstyle ever

IMO you have to watch shows like these for the mystery, not for the answers.

The answers will almost always inevitably be disappointing, but the mysteries at hand are what make for a fun and engaging ride along the way.
Yeah im fine with that. Lost is my GOAT, and i dont care not everything was answered but it kept having mysteries. I feel like they just dont introduce enough new stuff yet idk

I refuse to believe that the writers have any idea what they are doing. I think that they had a nice idea and created the first season based on that. Now they are just doing whatever comes to mind.
