Fry's, the best and worst shop ever

So I went to pickup Jade Empire today at Fry's and saw they had a Kodak digital camera onsale.
So I get to Fry's and go straight to Jade Empire, low and behold the LE version is $36.99. Rock on!
So then I go over to the camera department, they don't have the camera displayed. So I look around for someone to help me. No one. I finally ask someone, and the blow me off in pointing to the camera area. I finally get someone to help me. I take a look at the camera to make sure it isn't a hunk of junk, and find it acceptable. Asks if i have any other shopping, and I need a SD card for it. Says I need to get it first. Ok. I go over to computers to get the SD card, then back to the camera department.
Again, no one is there. Finally see someone, but he can't help me, points to another guy. I ask that guy who is in the camera dept, he points me to another guy. I ask the 3rd guy, he is ok, asks the second guy for keys. People are just so stupid at Fry's.

I shouldn't complain because JE was $36.99 and the Kodak camera was $99, which is pretty good for a 4.0 MP camera.

Fry's is da tops. You just can't be in a hurry when you go there, is all.

I just got back from Fry's. I picked up a CD burner to install for my mother-in-law. There were no lines and no crowds at 10 AM.

Weekend shopping is for suckers!

Fry's is a place where you go knowing you'll never need help since its pointless to ask them anything. As long as you go and know what you want, you should be fine. Otherwise good luck. Glad to know someone got the LE for $36.99 which means I guess I'm going to head out there soon.

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated

Or, ya know, people with jobs. :D

The Renton, WA Fry's is the scariest store I've ever been to. Yes, they have killer prices on new release titles, but man is it creepy in there with stuff sitting on palletes and the hokey homemade looking signs....

Once upon a time I was building a computer. The CPU, which I had purchased from Fry's, got bumped off the table when my dog decided to come barelling through. Pins were bent. It was useless.

But wait! Fry's took it back and gave me a new one. Hoo-ray! Of course I didn't tell them it was my dog's fault, but whatever.

works for Gamestop (lol)
I knew someone who would "rent" the latest video cards for free. When the 30 days was up, he'd just return it and buy another one

I've never been in a Fry's, but everything - and I mean everything - I've heard about the chain suggests the same thing: If you shop there, you better know what you're doing, because the staff is an extra special kind of clueless.

The best frys is the one in burbank, just because they have Aliens attacking props everywhere, and the front has the UFO crashed into the front.

That's my spot, only a mile up the street from me.
However, the best Fry's i've ever been to is the one in Vegas.

It's weird having GAF people talk about stores I go to.

Comparing it to the ones i've frequented (San Diego, Woodland Hills, Burbank) it's simply a far cry from the dissheveled mess of the other stores.

Heh, seriously, that store creeps my girlfriend out so much she just waits in the car while I run in for whatever they happen to have on sale.

What the hell's wrong with the Renton Fry's? I love that store.

The prices are good, but the way it is set up is just very low quality for such a large store. Putting items on wooden pallets in the middle of the floor is weird, as are the signs advertising items that look like they were printed using some old Tandy dot matrix printer. Add to that the fact that the average employee is clueless about things and the way they herd you through like cattle in line waiting to buy things.

Their prices on certain items may be better than Best Buy and the like, but they really need to work on their professional appearance, in my opinion.

I don't know, i just get a very strange vibe from that store. I get the same feeling when I've been in the one outside of Portland.
