Yeah, well, you are bright enough not to do it but man... the majority of the players certainly seem to be stupid enough to do AR rushes just because they can. Started with Reach, continued in Halo 4. Ugh.I won't be melee rushing if the kill times are fast. I won't be running away from fights if it delays my shield recharge and the kill times are fast. Halo 5 Midship looks to be a good size with more surface area, a change I'm all for. And of course there's no evidence, but I'm going with optimism for now.
Halo 3's Equipment though is silly IMO and why you think you should be able to stand toe to toe with a frikkin Tank while on foot is beyond me lol. If you're getting trapped somewhere by a Tank, then good on the Tank guy, figure a way out of it. A Tank is supposed to dominate a match and isn't a problem when balanced properly, like the CE Tank ironically enough :b
I said it gave me a fighting chance, because the fucking tank was overpowered in the first place! Besides, replicating that Halo 3 trailer was so damn fun. Save yourself with perfectly timed Bubble Shield!
(Halo CE tank is just unfun to use. Balanced, may be, but the game is also rather balanced without the whole damn tank, and funner to boot.)
I always liked the Equipment as a concept, because they were like weapons but were utility things instead of something for killing others. They were important enough people fought over them. In theory. As i said, the implementation overall was pretty bad. And their placement and use on the maps was worse still. And their usefulness in the campaign was extremely questionable, though surprise mines by the Brutes were fun.
The Trip Mines provided me far more entertainment than any other addition to Halos so far, nothing beats seeing people drive to your mine and the explosion throwing the Warthog into a chasm...
